No, he was contracted till end of 24 and they are subsidising him considerably. This rumour is just crap.
Klemmer on 450k is a bargain. He was easily our best prop last season. Even then, his third season with us, when we are paying full freight is only 600k. Possibly overs by then but he's still a very solid player and if that's what it took to get him then so be it

Agree the rumour is in all likelihood crap. I also have no issues with Klemmers reported salary, subsidised or not.
However everything i can find says that he was only contracted at Knights to end of 23.

I’m so FvCking Over this club treating players like this .. show some gotdamn loyalty for once .. amateurs .. Klem has been all in , totally professional on and off the field, our management needs to be “floated” FFS :. A contract is a contract and they need to stop leaking this crap, and to stop doing it .. we are a freaking laughing stock that never ever stops with the nonsense. I’m over it .. start acting like professionals with some ethics and integrity for gods sake !!! Klemmer is a tiger now and he should stay one !

Thats not what it says though - its saying the third party was the one offering his services to any bidders. You could say the " unrelated " third party is someone at the club but that doesn't make sense because the club is related via a contract.

Its crazy isn't - all the rubbish going on at the dogs yet they are still held up as this well run club. I also noticed that Burton looks like digging his heels in over a move to the centres.

So, We're going to release Klemmer and go into 2024 with Twal(who we also shopped around) and Stefano as our only established Props. Even the WT are not that dumb.
