OFFICIAL STREAMING FINDS and RECOMENDATIONS

Sort of yeah…
There’s Frasier who must be over 70 in the show, some black women, some gay looking dudes and some old blokes.

Good to see the actor who player Rodney "You Plonker" Trotter from Only Fools and Horses move into a USA show.

Only Fools and Horses is one of my favourite shows of all time. Liked Fraser but maybe should have left it and not rebooted it with only one original cast member

They cannot make show like that anymore as the PC went too far
e.g. Monty Python, Faulty Towers, Alo alo, Benny Hill, David Allan and even Muppet show! 😡

Have you watched Peacemaker ? Have you watched Curb Your Enthusiasm ? Plenty of great politically incorrect TV shows out there.

The Fall of the House of Usher
New series on Netflix from Mike Flanagan, the guy who brought us other great series like The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manner, Midnight Mass and The Midnight Club as well as very interesting films like Doctor Sleep, Hush and Gerald’s Game.

It is based on the works of Edgar Allen Poe, with each episode utilising a short story or poem of his to interweave a pretty seamless story of the Pharmaceutical magnates called the Ushers and the downfall of their empire.

It’s intriguing, horrific, beautiful and well acted. The Poe stories are kept in tact, yet brought forward to modern day. It’s quite the achievement.
I loved it.

The Killer on Netflix is pretty good. Its fun trying to work out who all his aliases are. Plus Trent Reznor does the music - there is a sneaky reference to him in the movie.

Watched this.

Do not recommend.

Boring, dry, trying too hard.

Good fight scene with the Samoan? Mexican? In the house though.

It started strong with detailing the monotony of gathering information and being patient awaiting the target. It is very reminiscent of the work some special forces do…(it’s not all gun fights and medals, despite the perception put out there by Hollywood).
However as soon as he pulled the trigger, it devolved into every movie in this genre that has ever been made. Very predictable and a story we’ve seen 100 times.
Agree the fight scene in the house was very well choreographed, acted and shot.

Precisely man.
I didn't like it.

Don't mind a slow burn movie (like The Drop) but found this one tried too hard.

Fight scene was the stand out but the rest was underwhelming.

I watched Midnight Mass again recently.
Such a captivating story about faith and addiction.
If you go into it blind, you’ll be surprised with it.

The use of well known TV character names as fake identities was very try hard and has been done before eg. celebs using dodgy names in hotel registers. A terrific series called Leverage starring Timothy Hutton - used Emma Peel and John Steed (The Avengers) and Richard Chamberlain was called Archie Leach (Cary Grant) in S3 E3 The Inside Job.

The Tilda Swinton restaurant scene was quite possibly the dullest part of the movie.

Just binged Orphan Black Echoes and it is a beauty!

Lessons in Chemistry (Brie Larsen) is superb. What could have been a cliched woke premise (Female Chemist in a man's world facing the glass ceiling along the way) is instead a deeply dark study of human nature. And it gets darker and darker as it progresses. This is no I Love Lucy folks.

I've just discovered Letterkenny and Shoresy. Canada is producing some brilliant comedy sitcoms. This short flick is pretty funny too.

This looks interesting.
Anyone watched it yet ?

Might try & find time for it over the weekend.

Agree, really good series. I look forward to each episode.

I just watched "The Manly way" on Youtube.
It's a behind the scenes of Manly's preseason.
There's a fair bit of Brooks in it but I didn't see Talau.
It's Manly but it's interesting. It's a bit like the thing we did a couple of seasons ago.
