All makes total sense..except the bit about Olams manager requesting more $$Olam Update
I have a good friend heavily associated with North Sydney. Was in Melbourne last week as the Storm is their new feeder club.
Blore deal was done hence the announcement today (re 10 day rule), both clubs in principle had agreed a swap for 2024. Melbourne is not standing in Olams way. The sticking point is salary, not from the Storm but from Olam & his manager. Tigers happy to match his deal as it stands but he wants more to move to Sydney. Melbourne wants Blore now & the feeling is mutual, Blore wants out from us to move on & start fresh. Melbourne have made is that obvious to the point Olam is not doing on field training with the squad. He thinks he comes for sure just who breaks first us with cash or Olam being somewhat isolated.
Due to the connection with North's he has knowledge of Fulton's style due dealing in the 4 or 5 ex tigers NSW Cup players North's have signed. The Fulton are rumours are true. Not a Benji fan & refers to him the coach on his "training wheels".
As the convo went on, I asked why we'd signed him then (as in Fulton). Apparently Lee wanted a recruitment manager & only reached out to Tartak & Ayoub, mates with Lee & close with Fulton hence why we end up where we do.
He said the review into Lee is critical for the Tigers going forward. Lee goes Fulton will be shown the door also.
The saving grace is he said. "The boys love Benji", he felt front office dramas may not effect the team with Benji there. Players are invested in Benji.
He did say it would be unlikely we get AFB if Lee is outed with the flow on Fulton connection.
Serious question marks over the way he finished 2023...wldnt rush into any deal unless we understand why
