Two sides of the coin I think, probably a pretty crucial time for the club to be ensuring that the right juniors are being kept and given a good environment to transition to the NRL.Probably was not ideal for this to happen right now with two massive contracts on the table needing some ink. Although no time is ever good for a massive internal blow up, but this is a blow up that needed to happen and will bear fruit down the track.
Fingers crossed amateur hour is over at camp Concord and any perceived negativity out there in NRL world starts to turn around
Everyone in Rugby League knows we've been mismanaged for over a decade, and our governance is dysfunctional, we actually make a change and he thinks players won't sign because of it, but would sign for a Board who clearly had no idea. That's actually the dumbest thing I've heard from Vossy.Andrew Voss just made the point that any player who was considering signing with us will probably look elsewhere due to the upheaval and instability. There's just too much uncertainty for any manger to point his players our way.
It's hard to argue he's wrong.
I feel sorry for Benji. The events of yesterday probably mean the squad he has now is the squad he'll have to make work.
I like having Shane Richardson running the show, but it's at the expense of the '24 and 25 seasons.
I had someone the other day (@Kaito maybe?) tell me it didn’t matter what was happening off field, that players sign on to play, so here’s hoping. I feel like over the years other clubs have used us as a selling point for them. Like “you really going to go and play for those clowns?”. All thanks to the incompetence of the people who ran us for years. With an administrator like Shane Richardson on board now (hopefully permanently), it will take time, but expect that perception to change.
And won't our dreams be shattered then.....nothing changes in regards to Luai.
Pascoe had some involvement but it’s nothing Richo can’t sort out with a phone call with Luai and his manager to smooth it over. the bloke wants a paycheck and the chance to play halfback. yesterday’s events do not effect that in the slightest.
in regards to AFB, there’s some interesting comments made by Richo in his interview with James Graham about how there’s no need to sign middle forwards on upwards of $800k when you can sign someone who will do a similar job for less and have some cash left over for depth. don’t be surprised if our offer is rescinded in the next week or two.
I don’t think we are a realistic chance of getting AFB anyway. I’m happy for the club to stay focused on Luainothing changes in regards to Luai.

I think people are looking too much into the sponsorship stuff. Even if Bryden‘s pull the plug, someone else will come along. Anyway, aren’t we supposed to have a millionaire backer?Hopefully we'll win a few games in '24 in order to attract the $1M sponsorship for '25 onwards. 3 wooden spoons isn't a good marketing point in the current environment..
" I am contracted to the club in 2024 and I will honour my agreement."

He’s a teriffic footballer, excellent defender, scrambles , high work rate, and loves success,, ,Anyone who doesn’t think Luai is a $1m a season player is having themselves on. Almost as much as those who say we don’t need him
Well if we have they haven't been very obvious over the last little while.I think people are looking too much into the sponsorship stuff. Even if Bryden‘s pull the plug, someone else will come along. Anyway, aren’t we supposed to have a millionaire backer?
Jeez talk about glass half empty. Exactly when do you think the right time to run a broom through the clown show that's been running the joint for years would have been? Or do they just continue indefinitely on the basis that players are more willing to want to sign for a club that's been anchored to the bottom of the ladder by the muppets in the back office than one that might not be?Andrew Voss just made the point that any player who was considering signing with us will probably look elsewhere due to the upheaval and instability. December is probably the best time. Perfect time to start afresh in the new year.Jeez talk about glass half empty. Even if you're right, which I tend to doubt, why on earth are you throwing 2025 in there? Do you not think they'll have managed to find some directors and a CEO in 12 months' time?
I don't love O'Farrell - not because if the Grange stuff but because I don't think he's got any particularly helpful skills or experience. There's the vague idea that he's "well connected" but does that mean he's going to be able to get a couple of hundred million out of the state government for Leichhardt Oval? I tend to doubt it.I'm not a fan of BOF at all but calling it a bribe is a bit OTT. A friend gifted him a bottle of Grange that he failed to declare on the gift register. When it came to light he was naive and handled it very badly which led to him stepping down as Premier. Dumb it was, a bribe it wasn't.
Good.nothing changes in regards to Luai.

One particular superstar of the game would be signing now for'25.Jeez talk about glass half empty.
