I'm still trying to work where I was telling GNR what to post. All I said was stop repeating the same thing over and over, never said don't say what he is saying. Misty been to too many strip clubs I reckon.
 
I don't block anyone its a forum for opinions not just opinions that you like. In saying that however i have had to put a person on ignore for a bit because it was making the forum almost unreadable at times. Once it settles i take them off ignore, as a general rule i try to persist as much as possible and take things for what they are.

So, as my only form of escape, I come on here for a little bit of PEACE.
And due to circumstances beyond my control, a death in the Family of a Very Loved One at this time of the year, Christmas and the time leading up to it are a sad time for my wife and me.
So, I may not have mentioned it before 😉, but...I come on here for a little bit of PEACE.
Finally...I wish You and anyone else that may have battled thru to the end of this post...

???? Whilst reading your post definitely did spark the thought about echo chambers and how toxic they are , none of it was directed at you mate . Hence why I didn’t reply to your post .
It was a generalisation about a forum for discussion , blocking people , shouting down opposing views etc.
But whilst I understand your post , your reply very much proves my point . I’ve seen you dish out some real dribble , very much participating in the squabbles , but when it returns to you , you block people , and sound them out ? How can you participate in the discussion / debate/ vitriol (various levels of intensity) , but check out when it comes too hot ? .
I guess I don’t understand what is happening psychologically when people have 1 sided debates . Of which , I’m sorry , I’ve seen you do several times .
For me if I’m going to offer an opinion , especially a controversial one , I have to be prepared for the backlash , but more importantly , have to be amenable to the idea that my thought might not be the most correct / I’m wrong .
You can take the previous post personally if you want , but it wasn’t really directed just at you . Plenty of people come on here spew some real toxicity , then when it comes back to them , they start talking about group think , bullying , playing the victim …. This isn’t just in regards to this forum , it’s happening everywhere . When you watch the news , what paper you read , who’s your favourite podcast , Facebook , twitter etc. everything is curated for all of us to be inside our little bubble .
I guess with you BZN , I’ve watched you go after Cochise and the other forum pretty consistently re. The petition. What’s to gain by blocking those with differing opinions , especially when , in that situation in particular , just as an example , you were completely wrong . I’m not attacking you mate , just pointing out being unwilling to hear things that may be hard to hear , can actually be to your own detriment . It doesn’t always have to resort to verbal fisticuffs either .

Seems like another example of PC and people getting offended by the most mundane thing
Just reading your post BZN have you considered maybe a footy forum ISNT the place to come looking for peace...id guess theres online places cater specifically for that
 
Guys, let’s just give it a rest with the arguing. Some people think Luai is a done deal, some aren’t so sure. It’s ok to have differing opinions, it would be a terribly dull world if everyone thought the same way. It’s Christmas, which can be a very tough time for a lot of people and I think we all need to just chill and consider that there are real people with real feelings behind the forum names.
I want to wish each & every one of you & your families a Merry Christmas. To those missing a loved one, remember them with a smile. Life is too fragile to waste time arguing about who is or isn’t coming to a football team. ❤️

??? The point is , that all types of communication are a chance to learn something . Even from a guy you absolutely despise . It’s hardly PC . It pretty much goes against PC .
