He doesn't want to work up a sweat. The peroxide might run in to his eyes.He may just be going slow to give the big fellas a chance ? Ha ha or he may be afraid of losing that hair..

I don't think you quite understand how to apply those stats. Maybe if you watched a game instead of just reading stats you'd be able to work it out.

Clearly shows we have been very poor in making line breaks and scoring tries. Here's some stats that we have to improve on for season 2024:
TIGERS
2023
Metres gained: 1404 (10th)
Metres conceded: 1465 (5th)
Tries: 2.75 (17th)
Tries conceded: 4.96 (2nd)
Linebreaks: 4.00 (16th)
Linebreaks conceded: 5.75 (3rd)
Completions: 77.96 (13th)
2022
Metres gained: 1293 (15th)
Metres conceded: 1531 (1st)
Tries: 2.63 (16th)
Tries conceded: 4.92 (2nd)
Linebreaks: 3.54 (14th)
Linebreaks conceded: 5.71 (2nd)
Completions: 77.82 (10th)
Yeah the halves were odrinary 20m out. Had no idea what they were trying to achieve. The first few rounds Bateman was.the only one trying something..Clearly shows we have been very poor in making line breaks and scoring tries.
Obviously halves play a big part in that as do the primary balm runners such as fullback, edge forwards and centres.
Papali’i - another player who needs earlier ball to wind up, not the short hospital passes brooks was giving him.I disagree. Utoikamanu has already played Origin at 23 and is only going to get better, Klemmer is an Origin-calibre forward, Koroisau is the best hooker in the game and Papali'i and Bateman are both internationals who have plenty to give. Twal is a workhorse coming into his peak years and Pole is imo the most exciting young middle in the game.
if you thought Papali'i or Bateman were poor last year, I think Papali'i's issues were not a lack of effort, but the fact that Brooks didn't utilise him correctly. he's not an early ball backrower, he's best used getting the ball on the ad line. as for Bateman he went thru a stack of halves inside him and the lack of a preseason is what hurt him in the end. having a steady halves pairing that utilises both of them correctly will see them improve to no end.
I think the only thing we're missing is a 13, which should be filled by Kit Laulili'i by season's end. Da Silva is the best hooking prospect in the game and there's still a few others to come thru.
I think on paper our forwards are strong, but we’re middle of the road last year.Clearly shows we have been very poor in making line breaks and scoring tries.

Paps ran without cover all year in a telegraphed way.Papali’i - another player who needs earlier ball to wind up, not the short hospital passes brooks was giving him.
Agree - he tried very hard every game though I thought.Paps ran without cover all year in a telegraphed way.
Was wasted.
You need to include the stats on possession, both time and percentage. If you're not getting repeat sets, you're not getting as much ball so your metres gained will be down and tackles made or missed up. You might charge up 70m in one set then immediately hand the ball over to a 22m tap. You may not have the ball again for several sets if the opposition is any good.Clearly shows we have been very poor in making line breaks and scoring tries.

You also need to consider where the metres are coming from. If you are getting several repeat sets in a row, your metres are coming from a line dropout start which are the easiest metres to make.
Set completions play a major role in determining metres gained.
Not knowing much about the situationOff topic but there was no where else to speak it. Anybody get the drivel from Clint Newman and the RLPA about Volkman? Basically saying the NRL needs to do something about players in limbo.
Fact - Volkman's manager requested a release off a contract (Which the RLPA loves by the way), and signed a new deal with another club for a year (When he had two years on his contract). He has a season ending injury.
So the RPLA who look to the sky and shout that the players need more rights and more decision making are saying that a player manager(Who makes a.commision) and a player (Leaving his contract two years early) are in the right and that the NRLneeds to lift there game to accpmmodate the very policies the RLPA fought so hard for.
Fair dinkum, have you heard of a bigger hypocrite than Newton and the RLPA. Im sorry for the player but when you have managers circling amd the rules as they are eventually you will get bit.
