Remember my brother and I buying Chiko Rolls for about 20 cents each at the Berala Takeaway. If we were really hungry we'd load up on a few thick potato scallops at 2 cents each. Honestly the grease would be running down your face after every bite. They'd douse 'em in Cornwell's white vinegar and wrap the lot up in a couple of sheets of last Sunday's Telegraph. We'd down the lot and then have to think of excuses for Mum why we couldn't eat dinner that night!
