Think I was a yes.I wanted us to go after Brown, I just remembered
Everyone said "No"
Worth the risk. He’s a big aggressive experienced body.
Anyhoo.

You also have to remember that Bennett told the Tigers he wanted to finish his deal with the Broncos first which wasn’t up until 2019 as he was told he would be their coach until it was up. The club couldn’t just wait until he was available before getting him and as much crap the old admin got (and deserved) they couldn’t even know the Broncos changed their mind and decided to get Seibold early. Besides even if we managed to get Bennett he would’ve failed under the previous admin. Madge was the next best coach that was available at the time, it just didn’t work out.We had our chance. We blew it. We chose Maguire. Maguire ain't bad. Just Bennett was more expensive. In hindsight. Who is paying the price now.
He’s better than any one of our forwards. Would have been great as a 13 for usHe’s not big.
That’s where many people get mistaken between players being big or simply running the ball hard and playing the game aggressively.
I would much rather have a team full of smaller aggressive players, than big soft ones,
In saying this if they are a smaller aggressive type of player they need to either have pace or a big engine, no good being on the smaller side plus being out of condition and lazy.

Doesn't matter how aggressive they are, If they're smaller it still limits the impact
- Just from square meterage...
I don't see a Fisher Harris or a Warea Hargraeves getting dominated by small aggressive blokes...
That said - They have a place in the game...
What they need is to be used in conjunction with Dominant Impact Props....
We just don't have them, Haven't in years.... Since Gavet / Taupau maybe...
We trot out these same styled Domestic Props, Who are the same build and do the same job, the same way....
They get the meters (Sometimes) But watching the game only ever feels like they're just hanging on....
Until they're not anymore.
Brown is 6’1 and 104kgs.Fisher Harris and JWH are both small front rowers IMO. Seen JWH personally a few times, massive head, thick upper body, little legs and only just 6ft. Not sure what his stats say, but no way he is taller then 6ft. Overall he is on the smaller side, same for Harris. Both are just tough bastards.
Did Bennett work for the Rabbits while Richo was there? Or did he play some part in getting Bennett there?I hear in the media all the time that they expect him to want to be a Head Coach
Bennett at the Tigers in any capacity would be incredible.
Riccho was there when Bennett joined. Whether he played a part of getting him there I don’t know.Did Bennett work for the Rabbits while Richo was there? Or did he play some part in getting Bennett there?
Could be something to the rumour then. Richo is a bit old school like Bennett, so maybe they both see it as a way to run things without the hassle of new age management getting in the way.Riccho was there when Bennett joined. Whether he played a part of getting him there I don’t know.

Bennett has said he wouldn’t move back to Sydney, although if he is gonna change his mind, Benji would be that reason why. Maybe Riccho might try and make it happen if Benji wants him but it’s wait and see.Could be something to the rumour then. How big do you want him to be? That’s a solid human.
IP is like 5’7 or something.
JWH is well over 6ft...
JFH isn't as Tall, But a monster....

That - Or vision impaired...I must be well over 6ft too then.
I meant that for other dude talking about his size soz.I must be well over 6ft too then.

Actually hang on, you’ve said you reckon JWH and JFH are small. They’re both great sizes for props.
How big do you want them to be?
Most league players aren’t historically tall like Union guys. Union props are around 6’4 these days and the second rowers are 6’7 plus.
League you only really need height on the wings. Take note Benji.
That - Or vision impaired...
He's listed as 6'4...
They might be a bit out, They're not half a foot out.
So would you call them small Big Men?I'm not saying they are small. Batboy was referring to them as big front rowers, IMO they are not on the bigger side for front rowers. I didn't say they are small, just closer to the smaller side of top line front rowers. Still big men.
I played a lot of schoolboy rugby with Jared in Queensland. I am 6ft 2 (188cm) and he was always noticeably taller than me plus he was 105kg and looked like he had been cut out of clay by grade 12. He was the definition of an enormous human.I've stood with him, spoken to him. Maybe I wore my heels that day. That must be it.
BTW, those stats are often fudged
