TEAM LIST Round 2 vs. Raiders

Team List
That's good to hear. 4 times I've watched a bit of training, and I've only seen him there once, a month ago, and he was getting treated for a foot/ankle injury. We don't have enough depth, so the less injuries the better.
How do you go about watching them train joebob. Do you just rock up and walk through the gate?

Also after work, during or before? And do you have any say? More importantly - do they acknowledge your presence? I mean... do they say... wow...look at this guy.. true blue supporter....throw him a t shirt in or something. And how is traffic? Pretty busy road that one.... what's in it for you???

I saw a bit of them training this afternoon. It was after 1.30pm so not sure how long they had been out there, but there was no Bateman.

Left side was Sam F, Galvin, Solo and Tupou. Right side was Ice, Bud, Toa and Staines.

Sezer was in the "A" team uniform but playing half in the "B" team.

The bits I watched, were mainly the "A" team defending. The times that they had the ball and Api didnt get back for the play the ball, Bud slotted into Hooker. Make of that what you like.

Some of the injured guys were playing in the mini match, including Latu, Felody. Olam was doing drills by himself. Naden was walking around. Doueihi was running around by himself, kicking balls including a beautiful torpedo bomb.
Bateman was shown on the website's training pics. Wearing a bucket hat.

Or they could be thinking. This guy ain't at work. Maybe his job is too watch us..... lets give him some merchandise to.butter him up....if he is a spy

It is a bit of a lottery as to when they are training. I go to the gym next door, so easy enough for me to stick my head out the window to see if they are on Concord Oval. Last week I went Tuesday and Thursday, but the rugby boys were on the field. Today I went Wednesday and they were there. The previous times I have seen them training across the road at St Lukes Park. Yes the gates are open, anyone can rock up. Just luck if they are there and doing something of interest.

Just as an aside, can you see differences in the way the league boys train compared to the union boys?

1:30pm. Can’t have those pommy legs out in 30 degree heat. Good coaching.

I watched the rugby guys for 10 minutes last week. All I remember thinking was how loud they were. So much talk. You hear it a bit at tigers but mainly some individuals (Sezar, i recall Naden from an earlier session, Api), but no where near the levels of the rugby team.

Thanks champion @joebob - it's interesting how different teams approach things.

Wouldn't be a bad thing, great winger, great captain and went on to be a wise commentator on the game. But no, he was captain when I started following Rugby League. Friends who were supporters of the Magpies took me out to Lidcombe for games and I was hooked. First try scorer raffles, collections for Bob Cooper (after a massive suspension) in the stands, classic canteen, smell of denco everywhere, you could see the players up close....and mad fans. Magpies were a fighting team in those days.
Good stuff!! Loved Warren with big Artie & Bomber Peard as commentary team.

That’s a concern for me. Always found talk was a good barometer of attitude.

I have a lot of time for Jamal Fogarty as a player and person - and if we can shut him down we can win this one.

Also nice to see Jamal name Paul Whatuira as the player who he looked up to as a kid on THE FAN.

Paul was the sort of player that only the purists appreciate just how good he was!

Dual premiership winner at 2 clubs and an International for NZ for a few years.
Very effective centre.

I wil always appreciate fats for 05 and helping change the culture from absolutely a mad house in 02/03. A great footballer . But geez he got white line fever to the max .. the only other player I can think of who just refused to pass the football was one Ben Pommeroy . And the joke was it was because he couldn’t .
