So, Pole to 13. Who replaces him on the bench? Don't say Seyfarth. The answer is POLE!!!
For now - and Faagutu in the future...

How confident are you that we'll be better next round v Sharks? To be fair, our performance isn’t that bad. A few players gotta go.
We didn’t play last week, our first game of the season.
Raiders getting special treatment from the referees.
Highly impressed with Galvin.
At least we don’t have Lee and Justin, urinating on our back, telling us it’s raining. Then wait till next week....and the week after... sorry brother... just like to keep it real..
Ricky talks about the refs all the time.Horrible. But good teams don't talk about ref's too much...
Really? Two Raiders tries were off ref errors. The Levi try, forward pass. The Savage blind side try, a strip penalty that wasn't.
Oh benji what the hell was ur game plan because I seen nothing that resembles a game plan at all , run one out kick then try and tackleThey scored off forward passes, obstructions everywhere, stef gets sent off unjustly, we have 5 new players, (a couple are yet to shave properly) who barely know each other and we faced a fully fit and operational raiders at home.
it not an excuse, but an explanation.
Benji noted the boys didn’t adhere to his game plan, that’s a bigger worry.
I’m not surprised, but not devastated.
So long as we build and don’t go backwards.

My wife doesn’t watch the games but still asks “was that bloody Bateman again” when she hears a penalty against usBateman is killing us with stupidity

I’m not on any high horse. When did I blame him mate? The ref had a shocker but I’m not blaming him. Just said that “Stef said what everyone was thinking.” Get off your high horse.
You must be fun to go to a game with.I was at the game today. As soon as I walked in and saw the teams warming up it was obvious they were taller, broader, and thicker than us (plus their squad had more fast twitch than ours). It’s been like this for 15 years now. We just don’t have the athletes to compete with the other teams. Almost all of our players have a physical deficiency compared to a prototypical player in the corresponding position across the league. For example:
Bateman is a 92kg second rower. That is lighter than most three quarters. His is a terrible contract with two more years after this one.
Papalii is less than 6 foot tall.
Seyfarth, Klemmer and Twal are string beans. They are all tall and lanky so the distribution of their weight means they have no power and are easy to tackle and can’t hit hard.
Staines is too light.
Faatapue is too short.
Toa is too slow.
I could name more.
This is before you consider endurance, heart and brains, which clearly our squad lacks.
You can carry a couple of players in your 30 man squad that have physical deficiencies. But our starting team is full of them.
We will only win one or two games this year and will get the spoon. No matter how hard our players try they are at a massive disadvantage physically.
Our squad is so poor and we have so many ordinary players tied up in multi year deals (Staines, Sullivan, Twal, Seyfarth) that we will probably get the spoon next year as well.
Not really.Olam and Naden into that squad makes us much stronger
Honestly, the performance was what I expected. I wasn’t much fun to be around. You must be fun to go to a game with.
Laugh a minute I bet.
