Canberra don't have a monopoly it just seems that way because they know what a good player looks like. Whoever's doing their English scouting and recruitment is very good at his job.
Might be Scott Fulton?

FFS you whiny glass half empty sooks do my head in .. seriously just come here to post paranoid crap laced with your own insecurities and acting like your fears are absolutely certain to happen based on your own 4D understanding of the club and its playing group!! LMFAO 😅😂🤣😁Lol
Delusional
API and turuva were happy when we had won a few and lost a few
Now that we’re 8 losses in a row and a wooden sooon on the way you think they’ll still be happy?
API would probably leave now if he didn’t have so much integrity
Probably the worst part about being a coach. Even if he is in Fiji trying to relax, he’ll have re-runs of Brent Naden Fu;& ups rattling through his brain the whole time.Do you really think Richo would go yeah have a weekend off if it wasn’t normal?
It’s called a bye for a reason to give players & coaching staff a weekend break.
Bellamy headed to QLD.
Bennett during the bye periods often heads up to his farm.
As a rookie coach Benji should have a break to freshen up. His head will be spinning. Not as though he would be running coaching drills etc anyway over the weekend… the players won’t be turning up….
Maybe they just see something in a player and take a chance, unlike us we don’t seem to want to take a chance , if Richo can’t find at least 3-4 players over there then he really not there to recruit anyoneBecause Canberra is probably the most boring place on earth. The only place that rivals it is the North of England. Pommies going to the Raiders really wouldn’t see the lifestyle that differently. It’s pretty smart by the Raiders. They have struggled for years attracting players because of their location. Not many players want to live there. So they had to think outside the box, and they did a good job.
Then he’s definitely not the man for us. A first grade winger should drop down there and have 20 Carries for a million metres gained no problem. It a big drop in class. You have seen how bad our nsw cup is performing right?
Zero chance he would regain his confidence and grab a bunch of tries in reggies.
But it’s not people flip flopping, you’re just reading a series of opinions on a forum. There might be a little flip flopping but I’d say most people think what they think of Stef. I’m in the pro camp fwiw.I’ve never seen so many changing emotions around a player. One minute he’s a vital cog in the engine, the next he’s a pillow, the next he’s back to being imperative to our future. I can’t keep up.
Knights went on a run after that.Thats like saying you can just forget about the off season, just because we have a bye doesn't mean you can't work on things get your structures down pat. Maybe try and change something up that might not be working, i would suspect there's a fair bit of heavy lifting to be done in our attacking area's. Get things done repetitively so its muscle memory.
Its not just Benji remember the knights players went to Bali during a bye last season or the season before, they got hammered in the media too.
Benji is only a baby in his coaching career there is plenty he doesnt know, maybe if he was a 10 yr veteran has some runs on the board there might not even be a story here to tell but there is and its not great optics.

I'm exactly the same, for me it's the aggression that has been taken out of the game. When I was younger it was the gladiators arena where 2 teams of blokes were trying to rip each other apart. If they couldn't do it on the scoreboard then they tried with their fists. Now it's just lost its soul. You're right ink. Something is missing and I can't work out if it's that I was a kid and i looked up to my heroes on TV or if the game and tradition has been commercialised and sanitised to the point of it not being the battle it once was.
I'd like to know what those that dont recognise the era you mention and grew up on the modern game think about origin now.
Any normal club which was second last in NRL and dead last in NSW Cup would take action and bring in some new players, rather than just let the land slide continue.well if he’s been dropped and he’s out of favour is it not worth asking the question given how dire our outside back situation is?
Isn't that what Aaron Woods wanted to do for WTs?No surprises there, the bickering has gone on for way too long for someone who loves the club, wants to be captain and lead us into the promised land.
That’s exactly why the nights pissed Klemmer off!Even a "bad" coach with a decent playing group will get a middle of the table finish.
Our main issue is our roster. Particularly in attack.
Our defence is actually passable, save from a few moments of laziness. If we score more points, we probably don't concede as many either.
Bateman can't break the line. He is too small and weak. Gives away too many penalties as well. He's gotta go. He was cooked when we bought him and he's still cooked now. Signing with the clause that he gets to spend most of the pre season in England was a joke. We don't need that.
Papalii is a nugget trying to play in an Athletic position. He went much better in the middle at 13. You can see the difference Fainu makes on the edge even with little experience.
Klemmers stats might be ok, but he's ineffective. Is it any use get 5 extra PCM if your play the ball speed suffers by 4 seconds while the other team holds you up and their defence resets? We need guys that skittle the defence and get a quick ptb.
Staines doesn't get enough yards out of our own end and is zero threat. Tackling is at 68% efficiency. 20 tackle breaks this season. He is not the answer for us. Isaako by comparison has 38 tackle breaks and tackling at 80%. When I see him 1 on 1 with a player, I know he's not going to beat his man. Need better.
The common denominator here is we need guys in these positions that can actually break a tackle and provide a threat in attack.
Our bench kinda sucks, but we're not going to be able to add 8 players in the off season. If we can get 4 high quality replacements for the above guys, we actually stand a chance with or without Benji as coach.

U are right must are over in Britain or France , that’s not to say there is young talent still in Fiji, a couple of years ago I was in a cruise and we stopped there on a weekend , we went passed a footy game , we stopped for 30 minutes and watched , there raw but great athletesSerious question as I wouldn't know, but do the better Fiji rugby players live in Fiji or are they playing some sort of professional or semi professional Rudgy somewhere?
No I reckon he was well overrated when he hit NRL and then everyone seen he was not that good. Average benchy at best.
I was a fan, his first year or so was very promising. He hit his ceiling.
in order to bring in players you first have to shop the current players around. Shane Richardson is in England doing just that.Any normal club which was second last in NRL and dead last in NSW Cup would take action and bring in some new players, rather than just let the land slide continue.
