Why is everyone in the media saying we picked a big pack? Our pack is tiny.
They're quite similar in comparison to each other.
NSW slightly bigger; they also have an extra forward with the Blues picking four forwards on the bench and QLD picking three.
NSW average forward height: 6'1"
NSW average forward weight: 104 kg
QLD average forward height: 6'1"
QLD average forward weight: 100 kg

I'm not referring to comparison. Just the talk that we picked a big pack. Jake up front with a backrow of Martin, Crichton and Mcguinnes is very small. Only one decent go forward player starting.

Its a good, strong and mobile pack.
Their bench is big and aggressive.
The Blues are clearly on a seek and destroy mission tonight.
QLD will have to really knuckle down to hold the middle.

Sorry I don't get it. While the bench has 4 forwards, it only has one front rower. So only 2 specialists front rowers in the 17.
Out of 10 forwards named we have
1 hooker
3 locks
4 backrowers
2 front rowers
The balance isn't right to warrant all this talk about going through the middle with a "big pack".
It's not a big rampaging selection that people are banging on about.
