Sorry I don't get it. While the bench has 4 forwards, it only has one front rower. So only 2 specialists front rowers in the 17.

Out of 10 forwards named we have
1 hooker
3 locks
4 backrowers
2 front rowers

The balance isn't right to warrant all this talk about going through the middle with a "big pack".

It's not a big rampaging selection that people are banging on about.

QLD were lucky with the send off. It gave them at least 4 tries.
NSW pack were strong.

Only because a player in the centres was sent off. I know you don’t value that position, but it made an enormous difference.
The blues pack won the middle battle.

It’s always a gamble.
NSW wins last night and the focus would be on Billy’s bench which was not an origin bench in most people’s minds.

This. Also were far to slow to react and move Crichton to the right. It should have been done immediately knowing most sides are left dominant.

Yes I agree, but having zero cover left us without a hope. There is no benefit at all to having 3 locks and 4 backrowers in the 17. To say that worked is plain wrong.

I don't know if Madge will re-think his 4 forwards strategy.

My changes would be:
1. Edwards in if possible
2. Moses in

I think Suali'i, Ola and Hudson Young will get another chance

Blues will win the next game.
