100% on Brad Parker, Tom. We don't need a team full of superstars or promising juniors. Right now we need job-ready 1st graders who have proven their attitude. A few signings like Parker will help to stabilise the team/club and win a few more games. Give us a bit more credibility in the free market & allows us to introduce talented juniors when they are ready. It’s a little easy to me to blame injuries for our problems …yes they certainly don’t help.. but they do expose the lack of depth in the squad as a whole … which has been brought about through a strategy of having an over reliance on juniors in the Top 30 who are not first grade ready …. Besides ..they have won 10 of their last 65 games …so they lose even with their best players available …
They need another winger and Center in addition to Turuva … I don’t see a lot of solutions who are at the club now … they will probably be forced into continuing with Olam given this lack of depth …. But he was one of the worst players on the field last start ..which is saying a lot ..
Yeah ..it’s easier said than done to find other guys .. I don’t know what options are available…I have mentioned trying to get a guy like Brad Parker here who is seemingly stuck in reserve grade at Manly… its interesting to me though that a player like Tommy Talau is keeping him in reserve grade and he is playing pretty good football now when he was beyond terrible his years playing here …
At the end of the day ..it’s up to Richo to find the players to improve the team …Im sure he is being paid amongst the top CEO’s…so he has gotta start showing why …
If anything, weve been poaching players off Penrith.Nothing will happen to any of the top side on poaching weaker clubs juniors. Manly and Roosters got away in 80's 90's and Penrith will get away with it know.

True but doing anything is better than nothing I guess. I'd be happy with Richo just constantly spraying the Roosters in the media.sounds like the outcome will be the same when you threaten to call the police on the neighbours that are still partying on at 3am…
good luck getting the cops to care …
The other difference is that the NRL has competition from the English Super League and Union. AFL players have no alternativeIt only survives in the AFL because no player or club challenges it …any legal action would have the same result as the Hill case ..
It shows a key difference between the sports … the “whats best for me” in the NRL versus “good of the game “ in the AFL …
Not saying AFL is right and NRL wrong … their drugs policy is wrong in my view …
Don't know that we need Gorgonzola though. Shame it isn't Collins.I’ve heard a whisper today from my ex
rooster junior mate, that cheese wants out of the roosters, despite their breach of him.
Could be on the market soon.
You have to remember, the Roosters were not always a strong club. They have spent more than their share of time in the bottom half of the table. It's just that we have recency bias - and so do the journos. The Panthers used to make up the numbers and rarely made the semis, The Sharks were also bottom feeders for a long time. A good reminder that all of this is cyclical. The Tiges will have their day in the sun again, but it won't be soon unless we get our act together as a club,And after all that fighting left the Magpies after 2 years to go the Manly!
This part is less difficult to believe
You are right, but I think we can expedite the process if we make the good decisions. You have to remember, the Roosters were not always a strong club. There is no shame in stepping back into an assistant role to learn his craft.. Problem is, I am sure Brad Arthur would expect to be a long term head coach appointment at his next club, not a benchwarmer for a rookie coach to take over in 2-3 years. What a shame we didn't get Wayne Bennet to come in to do another 2-3 year gig with a plan to hand over to Benj potentially at the end of that. Look at what he has done at the Dolphins in less than 2 seasons. Built a roster from bit parts, got them competitive in the first year, uncovered some rising stars, got the most out of some hardened veterans and recruited some star power for their second season. They were competitive in their first year, and probably will make the finals this year. What could have been, eh.You are right, but I think we can expedite the process if we make the good decisions.
Brad wins 300% more games than Benji and turned the eels into a powerhouse for a long period through good signings and instilling some grunt.
I just think we need a lot of experience at this juncture.
Benji can leave for family reasons and come back another time. Throw him on the board to stop him losing face.
It simply shows what can be achieved if you know what you’re doing. And that’s called experience !There is no shame in stepping back into an assistant role to learn his craft.. Well said, GNR could take a leaf. You have to remember, the Roosters were not always a strong club. They have spent more than their share of time in the bottom half of the table. Thanks for sharing. Good news if we can get rid of Sullivan and Naden.
I'd like at least one forward of the calibre of Gareth Ellis, another like Malcolm Reilly, Vince Karalius. Another Brian Lockwood would be handy as well. Do you think I am being unreasonable? Thanks for sharing. Good news if we can get rid of Sullivan and Naden.
Wonder who the English forward is they are talking with.
They’ll just tell you it’s a Council issue.sounds like the outcome will be the same when you threaten to call the police on the neighbours that are still partying on at 3am…

After 11 years of putting up with dog sh*t teams, not at all!I'd like at least one forward of the calibre of Gareth Ellis, another like Malcolm Reilly, Vince Karalius. Another Brian Lockwood would be handy as well. Do you think I am being unreasonable?
