just when im seeing doom and gloom for the club, after seeing that interview with Richo i have hope againI like how firm Richo is.
Galvin is staying for at least 2 more years.
Sugar and cheese don’t mix.Nose candy can be a problem
If that’s all he signed , why the hell did he waste his time , we need at least 3 forwardsNot an English forward, but Sione Mauta'uatia would look good in our back row.
Simply no especially bellyacheYeah, funny how Bellamy let him go, as he did with Olam who is now supposed to have a recurring knee problem.
Like I’ve said before rarely do Group One coaches lose players that they really want to keep !
I wouldn't know if this has happened but if I was Benji, I'd be sitting down the entire playing roster (probably 1st week of pre-season once our unwanted are out the door) and telling them ...The reason we are travelling so bad is the culture of players today .. they all wanna play in the NRL .. they all wanna win (nothing wrong with that attitude) .. BUT a team cant win if just want to play in team that wins .. if YOUR'E not prepared to put in the hard work off the field (at training) .. and on the field .. !! These players today think they should automatically play in a winning team .. winning can come easy if EVERYONE puts in the hard work off the field to strengthen the team .. then turning up and and playing for each other .. playing for the TEAM on game day .. !!
LAST time i looked there is NO 'I" in team .. !! These players who want out because the TEAM isn't playing well for them .. need to have a serious long hard look at themselves in the mirror .. and ask themselves .. what can i do better to make this team better .. !! If you watch our games .. players are all doing their own thing out there .. very little team work .. we are just relying on an individual player to make a break .. not working as team to create breaks .. !! So to those players who want out i say .. you can just p*ss off with no pay (cause YOU want out) and sit on ya lounges at home and play Fortnite .. !!
Back in my day the coach never had any problems with telling a player .. "here's a spoon of "harden the f*ck up" .. and telling them the truth about themselves .. !!
For the players of today .. where's ya proud in wearing the jersey you pull on and play for each weekend .. crikey is not that hard .. every player has legs tackle them .. you cant run without legs .. hold on to the ball .. back each other up .. work together as team .. communicate to the guy next you .. tell him what's going to happen in the next play .. put in 110% in every tackle .. every play .. put in off the filed in the gym on training paddock .. and you will be surprised how easy winning comes to your team .. rant over .. shakes head in disbelief .. :-(
We have to take a leaf out of the Dog’s recruitment model and speed our available cap on hardened and experienced NRL players who can perform under pressure. They don’t have to be superstars, just players who can do a jobI wouldn't know if this has happened but if I was Benji, I'd be sitting down the entire playing roster (probably 1st week of pre-season once our unwanted are out the door) and telling them ...
1 You do the work, you play well, you'll be rewarded with success at this club!
2 It's reality we'll have to move players on each year, that's professional football anywhere but you do the work & perform to the ability we know you have, it won't be you!
Case study ... Canterbury Bulldogs
Now let's get to the wrestling mat and see who has what it takes!
Have we signed one??Any idea who the Unnamed English prop could be?
Unfortunately Benji has a soft attitude problem towards his players. The reason we are travelling so bad is the culture of players today .. they all wanna play in the NRL .. they all wanna win (nothing wrong with that attitude) .. In advanced talks with one according to nine.Have we signed one??
I certainly wouldn't say no to him as an assistant. But is he a good coach, like at training, can he setup attacking plays or did he delegate that to one of his assistants at Parra?I said Brad Arthur is an option - he won’t replace Benji.
If we lose this week and it’s not a bigger deal in the media it won’t happen.
But soft murmurs abouts. BA as an assistant. Let’s see
What interview on what show, I would like to see.just when im seeing doom and gloom for the club, after seeing that interview with Richo i have hope again
How on earth do you come to that conclusion??Judging by Richo's interview, I'd guess Stef is out the door.
I reckon Erin Clarke from the Titans would be a good recruit for the same reasons you have mentioned.Solves a few problems:

Judging by the interview we've made an offer that Richo hoped would be accepted, so far it obviously hasn't been. That doesn't mean it won't be, just that it hasn't.
I think this may end up somewhat like the situation with Twal, he thinks he'll get more elsewhere but as soon as he went to market and realised he wouldn't he re-signed with us.
Richo needs to have another meeting with Stef and his manager, determine where they're at, will he accept the offer, does there need to be any tweaks? If he's not willing to accept the offer and is waiting for the clauses to be activated then just activate them and allow him to talk, he'll soon see he's only worth 500-600 for most clubs. Will he turn down a million bucks to leave us??
I think Stefano would stay if he really believed we would be a genuine top 8 team by 2026 at the latest, but realistically it’s likely he is not seeing how that can happen and no doubt his motivation has dropped in recent weeks because of it.Stefano is going to get paid no matter what.
