I think it's both the manager and the family. The parents want the best for their kids, which is understandable. The problem is that LG is only in this position now because of the Tigers and there seems to be a real lack of respect given for how much the club has accelerated his career and earnings - especially when he was picked off the Parramatta scrap heap.
In terms of developing him into a superstar, they already have Benji as coach and Luai to partner next year with a world-class COE. I'm not sure what else they may want. That's a premier setup for a developing half. So I do not get that argument.
There simply has to be more $$$ on the table at another club with more success. That's it. I hope Richo finds out who it is and nails them to the wall. The NRL doesn't work if clubs develop players only for this to happen.
