Yes I remember. Lol.Someone was on here the other day ripping into the Panthers and questioning their longevity as a developmental team. Hmmm.

This team has not played many games together. The beginning of the year when the boys all played together they were coming 3rd in Flegg. This team has played plenty of footy together. No excuses for getting annihilated so badly.
Other than our recruitment getting it wrong for so long with so many nuggets
Hes actually had a good consistent year this year bar injuries. He was dominating in Flegg alongside Herman and Aho, then moved up to cup where he was getting better and better with the more games he played, moved to Ron Massey where he was dominating there eg scoring every game and grabbed a double in one game, then injury struck again. Why has Chris Faagutu game gone so backwards in the 12 months?? we have wasted not him but we seem intent on wasting others as well.
This is good to hear. This bloke can play and is worth the effort to develop.Hes actually had a good consistent year this year bar injuries. This is less encouraging. The coaches need to determine his place and work towards getting him there.I think one of the biggest things for Faagutu is it seems we have no idea what we're doing with him. Are playing him at lock or are we playing him at Prop? Do we see a future with him here or is he just there for us
What position was he playing when he was dominating in the Ron Massy Cup?Hes actually had a good consistent year this year bar injuries. No doubt he runs the ball strongly and aggressively, that is not an issue.Faagutu is a ball runner, who needs support running off him, he is no lock or is he a prop, play him as a running second rower.
You nailed it. GOOD COACHING.No doubt he runs the ball strongly and aggressively, that is not an issue.
From what I’ve seen he’s prone to being a lazy defender and either being out of position or missing tackles because of it,
That only gets harder when defending more isolated on an edge.
Good coaching can potentially fix his defensive mindset and I firmly believe has has much more upside than Kit.
We simply cannot afford to keep Matamua, Kit and Faagatu, they are all to similar and at least one of them has to go.
Where is that coming from ?You nailed it. GOOD COACHING.
This is pretty much the same team they've had for the past few months. Same spine. A few forwards rotated, that's about itThis team has not played many games together. The beginning of the year when the boys all played together they were coming 3rd in Flegg.
This narrative of too many nuggets is getting old. We had no problem beating this Panthers team earlier, as well as the dragons who were both coming 2nd at the time and we've also beaten the warriors who are also bigger.
Bloke has 4000 forum mentions before doing anything now he’s gone????It’s hard to see Faagatu being with us next season.
Good post. Faagutu was joint Justin Hodges medal winner in 2021, Captain of Marsden SHS, made the Courier Mail's team of the year in 2020 and 21, Qld U19s, 2022 Australian Schoolboys with Blaze Talagia and Chevy Stewart some of his team mates. He achieved this as a lock forward. Whomever is coaching needs to get him back at lock forward.Hes actually had a good consistent year this year bar injuries. Did the kid so something to you? Or did he push out a son of yours or something lol Gee whiz you been bashing this kid everytime he gets mentioned but don't pipe up when any other junior gets talked about constantly.Bloke has 4000 forum mentions before doing anything now he’s gone????
Whoever had the number 20 on his jumper, and he played in the forwards.Russell is a halfback
You're thinking of Johansen
I have never seen him play. I hope he’s great when he plays some serious footy. Hate seeing kids pumped up too early.Did the kid so something to you? Kid gets mentioned because of how good he is and how accomplished he is which is a plus for us as we have one of the top stars for the future right here in our team so where is all this hate coming from?
Neither he nor Kit will be decent NRL players.I have never seen him play. I hope he’s great when he plays some serious footy. Hate seeing kids pumped up too early.
Setting them up for failure in my opinion.
They continually stick with the local.....Kit, as lock. IMO Kit too small/slow for any other position so they have stuck by the local [and his brother on wing/fullback]. They need to get tough on selections and select best player for best position or expect poorer results.Good post. I don’t have an opinion on a kid until he’s played a handful of FG games. The odd player you can just tell, watched Reece Walsh in reserve grade and just knew.Neither he nor Kit will be decent NRL players.
