LIVE GAME Round 17 vs. Roosters

Live Game Discussion
if he has the ok from the coach to do it all good … if he doesn’t the coach should be telling him not to do it… I’ve seen guys get dragged for similar … however that won’t happen to him because he has been our best player all year..
You gotta allow him the odd brain fade. Agree he’s been consistently the guy.

The whole team has at least one in them most games…

guy has been immense all season ..: I can’t blame him too much over this … just wished it hadn’t have occurred … they still would have been pasted ..

It’s typical from him. We can get far better value bringing others through.
Imo he's become a flat track bully, when things are going well he stands up but when we need someone to help wrestle that ascendancy from the opposition he never really puts his hand up.

We have good ball runners in our backs.
Galvin, Doueihi and Bula would find space running off the good work of that Rooster pack.
Doueihi is a classy ball runner, I’m surprised he has lost nothing of his dangerous ball running despite 3 ACL tears.
Galvin is a confident young kid who always wants the ball and backs himself regardless of the circumstances. He has a long way to go in regards to slight of hand and kicking game, but once he adds a bit of muscle he will be a beast and a real handful for opposing defences. Like yourself and a few others I don’t think 5/8 will be his best position long term, he could become the best lock or even edge forward in the game, but he seems to have an ego that is persistent in him remaining in the halves.
Bula is a gifted athlete but clearly not a fullback from an attacking sense.

A lot of cattle missing at this time of the year.
Just saying Cronulla I think were full strength and played to their game plan, boring football and deserved to get beat.
And the Cowboys today played the same way in the 2nd half to secure the win. Smart against an under strength Panthers.

Yes I get that, just meant at this time of year the quality games aren’t as abundant.
The first 3 months saw great footy. It’ll return after Origin.

Every time the Roosters got to the edges we looked vulnerable.
Defence was atrocious.
Bringing back Klemmer and Bateman at the expense of a winning and driven pack proved a bad decision.

WT would probably have been 40 odd down by half-time without Bateman, Seyfarth and even Klemmer shoring things up when they came on and stopped the rot.

I was at the game tonight. First 10 minutes good. 69 minutes after bad. Last minute good. Too many lapses. Really thought Koroisau overplayed his hand way too much tonight watching from behind the posts. Kept on going to the wrong players on the last tackle and ballplaying in the middle during set plays when we already had Galvin, Sezer, and even Doueihi acting as halves. Bula was very good for me. I know late he made some mistakes, but he was one of the few having a go all game. Only player that looked dangerous up the other end when he ran the ball. Galvin was very impressive tonight too. Really showing he can be more dominant with Sezer taking a back seat. Forwards were mixed. Matamua and Pole good. The rest very poor. Bateman just doesn't suit the team's style and is more of an individual player. I think some might misplace his silly antics as 'passion' and competitiveness. Api sin bin an absolute joke! Landed on his back not beyond the horizontal

I think if he puts his head down there he might even carry a small man over. Rookie mistake which we just have to cop with these guys.

Got caught with the ball a number of times. Ran sideways all night. Got manhandled a lot. Dropped the ball a few times.

No way was he impressive. He was a kid being taught a lesson by professionals. Hopefully humility was a part of it.

Outclassed in every position. Our middles are soft our backs are weak and small. Guys on here during the week suggesting that we were set for next year with this squad. Seriously we need to swap out half our squad for some real NRL players.
I agree TigerSJ, I reckon all our blokes played to the best of their ability, but that ability is just not good enough.
Plus, the Roosters were on fire.

I got to say when a seen there line up , it could be a state of origin team , how the hell they got all that talent under the cap it’s just not an even playing field .
Imo, they get the talent under the cap because the players are prepared to take less than other clubs are paying as they know the Roosters are well run and they want to play for them.
And that's what we have to do with Stefano. If he genuinely wants to play for Western Suburbs Tigers, he will take the $$$ already offered, or he can bugger off.
The same with any of our other players.
I'm sure Richo is smart enough to know what a player is worth, and The Tigers aren't going to pay overs anymore....... because you can't buy LOYALTY.

As I said after last weeks win over the Faiders. Doueihi was found out in defence last week with faatape coming it to much and not staying on his man. The Vicks obviously reviewed this and they came diwn that side all nite with great success. It was obvious after last week that what’s they would do. Yet bunji obviously did not allow fir this at training again!!

Just watched the press conference. We self destructed again tonight and got little to no insight or explanation from Benji/Api other than the two sin bins.
Were was our line-speed and play the ball speed? Why did we revert to mindless rubbish when we had chances to attack their line? What was with our ill discipline and missed tackles? What value did we get from Bateman/Klemmer returning to the side?

i love how we use the slogan “A NEW ERA” then proceed to win 2 spoons in a row going on 3 🤣
BrendonWT. Believe me, I'm just a p....d off 😡 as everyone else, but the New Era started at the beginning of 2024 when Richo took over.
For your own Mental Health forget about what happened in previous years or else you'll end up in the nut house 😱 like nearly all of us on the Forum.

Stats aren't everything. Watching live he played well. Nicho Hynes had 120+ run metres and other great stats in origin 1. Doesn't mean he was good

we won’t have it to worry about it next year mate … half a dozen other clubs want to throw a lot of money at him … they must be idiots
Stefano is a work in progress Imo Tom.
He may turn into a bloody good player eventually, but he is not worth the $$$ we are paying him currently.
