Sounds like he’s good as gone Goulds comments carry weight he wants a strong club and NAS on the outer. You can see where this is heading.

It’s a 50/50 call as we know Bellamy and the Storm do not allow a player to leave unless they see warning signs that the player is not meeting expectations and not what they once were.
On the flip side, you can imagine what someone of NAS’s status could do for the confidence of our young emerging forwards just by playing alongside of him.

Belly ache has let good forwards leave plenty of times. See the Dolphins and Finucane’s influence on the Sharks, despite his body breaking down (still a good signing for his off field influence in my opinion). That’s my fear for NAS too, how many games will he actually play?

Yeah that’s a furphy for sure.

We’re still equal with Parramatta and have been at least semi-competitive in ten of our sixteen games by my count.

I’d hate to think were we could be if a few young guys hadn’t played pretty well this year.

They are bottom with us.

I would give Stefo a deadline or our offer drops as clearly he is not wanted on bigger money.

Pole has been running circles around Stef for the last 2 months . He finds his front and always provides a quick play the ball , and is deceptive in and round the ruck . As he’s gotten older he’s clearly been I. The gym , as he has more leg drive through contact .
Stef is 💯 all potential and is 25 . He has had 1 good game where he provided the platform for us , and we put 48 on a team .
If that’s the Stef you are buying , of course you’d chuck 800-900k at him . He’s a younger , not as good NAS .
South’s and Cowboys have shown , that you don’t need massive units in the front row , as long as they have a talent to work through contact and find thier front .
The game has , and always will be , built on the back of momentum . And Stef looks spectacular at times , he doesn’t provide “momentum” .
Which I think is why most teams are pulling out of the race for him .
I’ve said it before , Bellamy is paying that money as much for Stefs potential , as his own skills and his clubs skills and confidence they get that out of him .
He’s not that good is the moral of the story .
He has been the darling in NSW circles since he was 19 , basically a poor man’s Payne Hass . But he simply just isn’t that player . He might get there one day . But he’s not there now !

He’s too easily intimidated. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t want it anymore for us . But on Saturday he just didn’t fight through contact , and was abominable in defence . People can blame Bateman and Fainu for those 2 line breaks / tries , but most defensive systems have the middle trailing across to cover the step inside , at the very least to slow them down enough for help to arrive . He was lazy and non committed . That’s a head thing , not a talent thing .

I feel for the guy on these reasons
he may well like to play under Belly most would and take unders to do that and play finals footy , but he doesn’t want to leave Sydney for family , so he would be under a huge amount of pressure , then the fact he may well love the tigers and feels we are not getting better and he is spot on but even with a couple coming he can’t see it , , or and it’s a big maybe , he thinks our coaching is not helping him improve or the team improve , Pole is the only player I feel has got better as the season has gone on , the rest are same every week
