Stefano Utoikamanu #241

The reason player want out is very simple we are not winning and playing in any finals games , with that comes the coach sackings , Poor recruitment , and just the media talking point or should I say bashing point , the club performs badly , looks bad , and has bad results , nothing changes until we learn to win and get up in the 8 , Richo needs to add 3 to 4 more quality players as our young guys are a couple years off and if we rush them we probably break them
Yeh.. and for someone like Stefano who was a gun throughout Juniors, I'm sure he would be frustrated looking at the players he dominated growing up playing Finals whereas he is winning Spoons.

It took some very special players like Haas, Carrigan, Capewell and Reyno etc who are all extremely good leaders for Broncos to get out of the cellar. Other teams like Knights, it took a generational talent like Ponga and leaders like Frizzell and an unwavering fan support of a single town team. For Bulldogs, I am putting it solely down to Gus to kickstart it and then it was Stephen Crichton, Mahoney and Ciraldo who have gotten them out of the bottom.

We can only hope Luai, Api and Richo do the same for us, but I am not holding my breath.

Our very young first grade players are actually serving an apprenticeship but like most apprenticeships it takes a substantial amount of time to become fully fledged tradesmen ( ie First grade [players). Does the club persist with them or replace them with seasoned first graders?

In the real world, You're not allowed to have more than one Apprentice for every 2 Qualified Tradesman - We seem to be the other way around...
We keep forgetting the bit where the Apprentices need proven tradesman to teach them the game....
And we also forget they should be on Apprenticeship wages....

I don’t think you’ve read that many of my recent posts but thanks for the feedback.

No doubt it’s turning into something like EPL with a big six clubs. A draft for elite U21’s would be my preferred fix.
Only problem with that is nobody would invests in juniors. I also like in the NFL that apparently they put all the gate takings from all clubs in a year and divide it equally amongst all the teams. This stops the unfairness from your Bronco like teams!
