John Bateman #268

Just as an aside to this, I hate the media, I mean truly detest.

Somehow, they are able to disregard Bateman's poor form and lack of discipline and have the nerve to ask "what's going on at the club?"

Pretty sure when Latrell was playing crap, the media focused on him rather than the Bunnies.
💯 some of them wouldn’t know if their backside was on fire.

I could care less he has gone. I could care less how he has been playing.

The real issue for me is why do we have trouble with these type of guys and it always ends in tears. I dont buy the spin the club puts on this so called rebuild/ new era. Same old problems.

We move from one player drama to the next. It cant be ALL the players. Its the club!

Nothing will change anytime soon if the playing group is still fractured and not all players are buying in.

Maybe its up the club to do a better job of selling them a better future.

If you got someone who works hard and is reliable in the Tom Eisenhuth mould (Former storm, current Dragons) in place of Bateman we'd be far better off, don't necessarily need to have a gamebreaker there, I think Samuela is developing into that role, just need someone who will do their job with minimal fuss or mistakes
I thinkk we really dropped the ball (yet another one) in not going hard for Nathan Brown as a filler in.

That could be the problem. They are selling them a better future... and when they buy into it.. it doesn't exist.......

Plenty of knobs on here were against it. Those people remain knobs
Hi, one of the knobs here. When it was discussed earlier he was at Parra and showing nothing, agree that Seibold and the shift to Manly have done wonders for him but stand by my original comments.
Especially as I’m not sure coming back to our circus would have motivated him as much.

A few mentions of Tom Eisenhuth on here lately.

Funny. Matt Eisenhuth fills in for Yeo on a semi regular basis & never puts a foot wrong. Nobody bemoans his loss. Great defensive player. Just does his job.

We could do with both Eisenhuth's.

Not for me thanks.
I’m actually warming to the Horsburgh and Hetherington show, rip a few heads off and make people scared about facing the Tigers. May as well try that coz playing nice guys isn’t working.
By the way I can’t include Klemmer in that coz he’s now softer than melted ice cream.

I knew people would buy my Horsburgh & Hetherington tag-team duo idea.

Hymel Hunt on the wing next to Olam to rock the socks of wide runners next.

We might lose, but the hits will be entertaining.

Yeah. This happens too regularly for it to be individuals...we cannot get the best out of individuals and the players struggle...why? Id love to know

Oh goody our annual cleanout has begun. Can't wait to sign some more overpriced plodders for next year. Guess we will have to pay overs due to the way we were perceived to have treated the last bunch of underperforming prima donnas. Expect Master Bateman will fire up against us in future like all the other ex-Tigers with chips on their shoulders.
