Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Its so engrained in society dating back from the Greeks and then Romans So deep that its a wrinkle in our brain. Aside from that it's a hope I guess in the dystopia we find the human race in right now apart from the elite who run the world and are happy with it. Until they are not Then they want new toys and start a war. The cycle continues. Dark Ages, Renaissance, Industrialisation and modernity. And a reflection of the Utoikamanu deflection.
Unfortunately I stopped studying history in year 10, and to be honest I didn’t listen much to that point either!

So the stronger clubs spend their cap on desired players to strengthen their squads while the weaker clubs are forced to spend their cap on upgrading juniors and over paying players past their best on long-term deals that they then have to somehow off load when they offer no value. There isn't even a trading window that at the very least stops this crap that we as a club have had to put up with while Stefano stuffs around that has made him all but useless to us this season.
The system from our position makes it near impossible to compete in the player market.
Gotta be smarter and more ruthless.

Catch 22 - for our best we need to sign them to our top 30 or we lose them.
Nothing wrong with the strategy. The issue is around identifying our juniors who are actually worthy. Some (all?) of the junior players that have gone into the top 30 this year and are going into the top 30 next year won’t be stars in first grade and will likely struggle to carve out an average first grade career. Time will tell.

Kaufusi to replace Stef.
Williams to replace Bateman.
Luai replaces Sezer
Turuva replaces Laulilii or Faataape.
RCG replaces Klemmer
Sione develops further.

Next year looking a lot better. Upgraded every weak spot.
should be looking good for 15th.

“Verified rumour” from one of my personal footy sources that Bateman has cut a deal with the Bunnies after his UK stint.

We are expected to contribute ( of course).

We will see what happens.

All care, no responsibility.

Dogs came in hard and fast for Stef, money better than storm, but who knows? Val almost certainly a dragon.

a few little dramas in the last few weeks
to elaborate

- the board is applying pressure around marshall, richo supports him, internally they want to see progression with our playing group and believe they havent seen enough this year

- the player market is grim, the competition is in a very transitional phase where those big name
players are getting older and those younger stars of tommorow have already be signed

- i think big nelson ends up here next year, no actual mail on this though
So your saying after we sign Luai Benji gets 6 to 10 weeks with him , cant see that happening but could,be right , if 6 to 10 weeks they may as well go hire another coach as we will,be last after 6 weeks next season as we have no forwards they are all leaving .
any world on Pole upgrade and extend or is he just going to wait it out .?
any word on any players we are looking at as I heard nobody we have approached wants to come hear .?

Cam Murray, Euan Aitken Koloamatangi, Tallis Duncan, Liam Le Blanc & now Bateman fighting for backrow positions...hmm....

Bennett is going cenile if he wants that flop.
I’d be getting Thomas Fletcher in return, he’s a good young second rower who is from the Campbelltown region.

Jeez Turuva looked bad yesterday when asked to cover fullback. Looked like he had no idea where to stand.

I don't see him making a massive difference at our club.
I’ve been watching him lately and he’s been way off the pace, even when they put him through gaps he’s hesitating and when in space he’s stopping and waiting for support.
Surely he’s got to be playing injured as he is currently a million miles away from how he was playing last season.
