Love it!

My fanciful theory is who’s to say To’o didn’t ask for a release back in May knowing his good mates Luai & Turuva were heading our way. Panthers & Tigers could have then spoke and agreed on a swap deal with Papalii plus we’ll throw in Kepaoa immediately. Maybe Panthers didn’t want to announce then to avoid publicity about everyone leaving.

I’ve got a few players I’d be interested in pursuing given our new found fortune.

I’d be quite interested in Gutho as a fb or utility because of his capabilities and ultra competitiveness.

I’d feel better with him at the back than Bula because Bula isn’t a commander and we could use his speed on the wing.

But obviously we need a marquee forward or two, preferably younger but and willing.

I like the idea but Gutho is pretty busted up. He needs a break from the game.

At least ! Our forwards fallen away badly with Bateman/Blore/Stef/Ice gone and Klemmer/Twal just hanging around for the retirement package. API can’t do it all, he’s probably already on the way to falling apart.

No I wasnt there when May gutlessly attacked that guy, but we live in an age of cameras everywhere and as a result we all get to "be there".

I think we can be shown part of the situation & perhaps take a skewed view of it all, even seeing a piece of footage.

Should he have done it? Of course not. Did he nearly kill the guy? Not a chance. Was the guy thrown to the ground completely guiltless? How would we know? He's certainly not looking like he's cowering for his life, standing chin to enormous chin as he was.

Odd that the 'victim' was the guy escorted away from the premises by security though.

Maybe at that time they had salary cap issues (pre Taylan May incident) & thought with McLean brothers, Tago, Alamoti, May, they have future outside backs covered. Plus IP filled a middle void for them in return with JFH leaving. Just spitballing 🤷‍♂️

I’m really surprised that Api has hung in there so we’ll this year. Held together by rubber bands and string, but his heart is the biggest in the game.

Hopefully tds can put more quality yards in next year and we use Api more selectively.

The thought of Jerome and Api back together at full throttle for the first 5 or 6 rounds next year, hopefully more, brings a lump to the back of the throat.

This stuff Richo was saying about JL ringing up Benji after every game is interesting. That would have shown the panthers up a bit, they wouldn’t have appreciated it. It was a bit of push and shove by us at their expense. Richo understanding we need snippets of hope in this horrific season.

No doubt Utoikamanu can play. Panthers might be a little light up front.

If the Panthers are actually moving To'o on, it HAS to be financial. It could just be cap management with a look to more cost effective younger guys stepping in.
