Justin Olam #281

Lobb in on right wing. Faatape left centre, Stains left wing. Latu got a bit of time in the halves. Stef was there
Thanks for the update , much appreciate it , I like Faatape back to centre and Latu getting some time , maybe he comes into the team on the bench this week

I have watched the boys train twice before but today was much better. Plenty of noise. Sam Fainu very vocal. The session was an opposed session with Cup. I didn’t mention before Ice and Tupou where getting flogged on the sideline. Maybe doing a test for selection.

The WT had plenty of opportunity to re-sign Blore … before Melbourne entered the picture …he publicly said he wanted to remain here … he wasn’t wanted by either Scott Fulton or Benji unfortunately
All I can say is what a bunch of idiots, sure the guy had a lot of time off with injuries while he was with us, but then again so did Benji in the early days.

Pretty sure that Blore will go on to play plenty of games for the Storm and I wish him well and hope that he reaps the rewards for putting in the hard yards in a quality system.

What is the true situation with Justin Olam . Does he need to get season ending surgery or not. I hate been feed horse s#@@ lies from the club.

Rob Bechara on Wests Life Podcast last night mentioned he has heard rumours that the club is trying to get Olam medically retired … backs up what ol mate here has been hinting at …

Maybe something to it … or just typical Chinese Whispers going around?

I hope it’s not true ..as the decision to sign Olam was the new regime…which wouldn’t be a good look based on what a lot of us thought at the time about what was being said about him
Signed with tigers as a BUSTED player and nothing has changed .Was great 3 years ago and storm moved him on because of loss of form though injuries. Unfortunatley a shadow of former self.

I think Olam will look better the better the team goes. Might sound a dumb statement, but I think he's a guy that has deficiencies that get masked when teams dominate games, and strengths that get highlighted. Good runner of the ball & fearsome hitter, but can be found out in reads.

If he doesn’t get the surgery ..I’m now sure what will change by then ?

Even with the surgery there is no guarantee of change
I had high hopes but we gave up Blore for someone who can’t tackle, often misses, doesn’t number up and jogs around attackers whilst his teammates are to fill his void - be wary of Bellamy discards on the future.
I imagine Bellamy rocks up to Secret Santa and places his very impressive wrapped gift under the tree
(which contains a mushroom kit and a huge bag of chicken manure!)
