I’d say Bud’s motivation levels are zero knowing he won’t get selected for NRL no matter what he does.
Same goes for Naden, but not sure what the excuse is for the rest of them.
But as we know when your teams halfback is unmotivated and doesn’t want to be there it is very hard for the team to function,

Shows why he is where he is.
If he was hungry and wanted to play NRL he should be performing as clubs will offer him options if he does.

Yes and no. We had no halves and were pretty desperate. NOBODY new we would sign Luai and Galvin would play so well,
It’s a tough one to judge given where we were! Easy in hindsight…
Well said.
People here forget the circumstances at the time.
We were desperate for a half with a lot of untested/unsigned possibilities.
We took the gamble, and lost in...… hindsight.

He got a contract at WT because he absolutely made a mockery of us in a short spell in one game. Before and after he has been absent as an NRL quality player.

Same as Starford To’a performing in one game against Val Holmes and being MIA before and since.

Which is why the smarter move would have been playing him in NRL while he was playing well in NSW Cup.
Seems like he is now happy to just be unmotivated and collect his 500k per season pay cheque.
The club is more at fault in the way they have handled it than what Sullivan is.
Our club is definitely not blameless when it comes to managing & developing players. Some of our selections across all grades have been confusing to say the least.
However, some of them don't seen to have any pride in their performances. Even if they don't care about their team mates, the club, or fans, surely WT can expect them to perform for their pay!!

This is what you get when you treat players like dirt.
He was worth working with up until recently. Now he doesn’t care.
Poor form Richo/Benji.
Disagree, Tuck.
Maybe Benji & Richo have handled Sullivan, and others, badly. It's on him if he doesn't care though.
He should ask for a release. In fairness to him, if he's not wanted Benji should tell him straight.

Why would he ask for a release when he has 3 years left on his contract?
He has been doing the right thing in KOE.

The lad is short sighted, thats for sure.

On a great contract for 4 years but that will be it....career over and no more decent money.

WT just never learn. We wait out the years of poor contracts for the likes of Reynolds and Mbye hoping we've learned our lesson but then go and sign long term contracts for guys like this.
Exactly
We can’t blame Sullivan for signing the contract (who wouldn’t have)
The management that put this offer as well as the offers for
Klemmer
Bateman
Olam
Have a lot to explain,
I understand we have to pay overs to get players to sign with us (wooden spooners) but surely a 1 year deal should have been the go for all of the above.(Old Age)
If they showed us anything then we could have extended.
Not now stuck with them for another 2 or 3 years.
Sullivan is not even Old and he couldn’t hold down a 1st grade spot with St George but we offered him overs for 4 years
Seriously our management has been a failure for a very long time.
We desperately need Richo to hopefully change all of this around.

Be grateful for a player review from this game @TV Ted Ellery when you have time mate.

I have serious doubts on most players in today’s team but have hopes for Mason, Hodges & our young middles. Broederlow is a funny one, cam make you think he’s got to tools & effort but then defence & effort can be disappointing at times.

I had to leave 20 mins before the end of the game. But what I did see was dire.

It's hard to draw any positives from a 64-6 flogging. If I was being charitable, I'd say Miller and Naden tried hard. Naden was doing most of the playmaking with Bud AWOL. Bu like the rest of the team, Naden was clueless in the redzone. Every play was a dummy haf effort, crash ball to Miller or backline sweep at half pace.

Mason and Tavana dropped a few bombs. In Tavana's defence, he would've been hesitant after being tackled mid-air twice.

Mougios, the new winger was slow and unfit. I felt sorry for him because he was clearly out of his depth.

Feledy was mostly unsighted. He didn't even look threatening close to the line as he usually does.

Casey is just an awful player. I can't stress that enough. He is only known as a defensive centre because his attack is so poor. But he also makes a lot of costly misses in defence.

Broerderlow and Tapisale have shown some promise this year but they were well off the pace today, especially Broerderlow who missed a heap of tackles. The Roosters also targeted Hodges who was poor on both sides of the ball. The number of passes from dummy half that hit the ground was frightening.

Our front row rotation of Aho, Laulilii and Sukkar were monstered by the Roosters' more physical pack. It's very concerning that Laulilii and Sukkar are in our top 30 next season. Laulilii has gone backwards at a rate of knots this year and I honestly don't know what the club sees in Sukkar. Perhaps it's his size because he hasn't done anything to deserve an NRL contract. The same could be said about Tumeth and Matamua, though at least they were star juniors.

I haven't seen enough of him in KOE. Comments from others on the forum that he appears to be disinterested & not having a go. To be fair, it might be hard to single him out as our reserve grade are going pretty badly.
You’re right, he has a contract & the club is duty bound to honour it.
He doesn't have to seek a release but he also has an obligation to do his best.

For the Roosters, Zac f*cking Docker Clay and Hugo Savala were god tier. It's the first time I've seen Savala play live. He's as big as Galvin and exceptionally talented. Apparently the Titans have signed him for next year.

Thanks @TV Ted Ellery appreciate the insights. Mindboggling how the team can go from such a good win last week to this unless something has happened behind the scenes upsetting team dynamics. Hopefully Hodges poor game was just a one-off for a young guy.

Broderlow looked like he’s did not want to be there from the kickoff. No involvement at all .Bud was just plain awful. Miller is improving every game . There’s def a player there . Hodges played hooker. was ok but missed some key tackles . Heath mMason tried but made a lot of errors . No. 19 tacked really well . Naden at least has a go. At least 10 of today’s 17 should be released . If only it was that easy

Number 19 was Cayne Nicholas.
He’s on the small side for a forward, but he plays tough, runs the ball at speed and has good ball playing qualities
I have seen potential in him.
