Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

According to the 'experts' on here players that were done and weren't good enough to play for us over recent years include:
Latrell
Walker
Frizell
Gagai
Tupou
Su'a
Saab
Suli
Talakai
RCG
Brown
Faitala Mariner
Mulitalo
Holmes
Hammer
Horsbrough

And the list goes on.... Can't be bothered adding more.

It still doesn't mean we should just sign anyone who's available, but if they fit the profile, fitness and skillset that we need and are available we should make a move for them
Mate you can not win spoons with these players

Not sure uncle Nick would entertain it. He had a handshake agreement with the Roosters whilst he was here and backed out. Thats when Politis and Isaac Moses had a falling out. If he leaves Parra I reckon Manly would be all over him
Nick says these things, but if it helps his cause he will deal with Moses, just like he did when he signed Teddy and had a no go on Moses then too

Here’s a rumour for you Nicho Hynes is being shopped by the Sharkies.

Looks like North Queensland will be his next home.

It will be interesting to see if that opens up some NQ players.

Maybe the Sharks might be then looking at Bud ?

Yeah… won’t be happening

I doubt the Sharks would be shopping him. I think it is more to do with Hynes not handling the pressure that comes with being a 7 in Sydney. He wants to get out of the media.

Best thing for him and the Sharks would be to realise now that he is a 6, not a 7. No way a team with Hynes at 7 is winning the comp, but I can see a team with him at 6 playing 2nd fiddle winning it.

They came out and said this was untrue.

Clubs say a lot of things though.

His failure at origin seems to have killed him unfortunately. He was flying until he got picked last year .
The rise from a KOE/ QRL cup also ran to star is IMO only really close to Walker and King ( along time ago now ) on a meteoric level . I assume that would have done wonders for his self assurance and confidence , only for origin to put a massive pin in his balloon .
Especially after that teams realised you can rattle him .
He seems likes good kid too. One of those guys you hope succeeds .I think NQ would be good for him .
He’s definitely an Origin level talent . I just don’t think he’s up to the pressure cooker level it is .
I doubt most footy players are . Maybe one day when he’s more assured in himself as a footy player .

Bulldogs being a team full of stars? come on mate. They're just simply turning up for each other & the playing group have bought into what Ciraldo is trying to accomplish.
A few of them will be in the origin team next year. Guys like jake preston will be in the squad. Blake Wilson will make QLD squad. They've got quality all over the park. Bit different to us, so many weaknesses all over the team, and we don't have any replacements for the guys we're getting rid of...

That’s certainly the first time I’ve heard this Bulldogs team being “a team full of stars”.

You haven't read rugbygoated's posts before then. He has a very high opinion of the Bulldogs players. Called them stars in this post, but previously said their full of great players. I reckon he is the only person on the planet that thinks the Dogs team is full of "stars" and "great" players.

I agree they are both very good players, Wilson does not get in the Bulldogs top 17 when they are at full strength and with the Bulldogs paying big money for Tuponua, where does that leave Preston for 2025 ?
Tuponua would be getting paid more than double of what Preston is getting, so I assume that means he will start on the right edge and Preston will need to come off the bench. Keep in mind edge back rowers generally play the full 80mins, so not really any need for edge forwards on a balanced bench.
Why do I care what’s happening at the Bulldogs?
I believe some of their best performed players are getting way under paid, therefore someone such as Preston who would be perfect for us, will surely not be satisfied to continue to be severely under paid and potentially under used in 2025.

imo Blake Wilson will be dogs winger ahead of addo-carr in 2025. He's very good. Watch him closely. Very very impressive young player. Addo-Carr has been incredibly overrated at dogs. Hope we don't sign him in the future

I think sitili will play prop. It sounds crazy but give him an off season and he might be the mobile and big prop they need
