FUTURE’S BRIGHT AT THE TIGERS DESPITE CURRENT WOES

You havent answered my question …who signed Klemmer and Bateman to those ridiculous deals that we haven’t even got half way through yet?
Danny Stapleton would have signed off on them I guess? The board appeared to have a redistribution of responsibilities about 12 months before sacking Maguire as we saw with Fainu brothers signing. Previous to that we saw Pascoe almost disqualified for life with the Farah business. I cant see a HC committing any club to many millions of dollars without safeguards. It would be like Biden actually knowing the code for the nuclear silos.

👍 yes it’s still a team game. A huge change for Brooks, he seems to have much more time now. When Brooks has options like Turbo running a line inside and Olakau’atu on the outside and fires it out to his old Tigers teammate out wide. It’s pretty to watch. Seibolt has done a wonderful job there. I think Manly go deep into the finals this year.
Exactly mate. I’m more referring to game planning.

In recent years, opposition coaches would have a holiday game planning for us. Run at Brooks with the ball to get him off kilter, then watch out for his show and go in D.

Simples.

Now he’s priority number five or six on the tip sheet

The contract value of Klemmer is what it is. Someone clearly values him.

Coming off the bench because we get a replacement for Utoikamanu....while Klemmer starts beside Utoikamanu. There is no reason to believe Klemmer is a bench player, but even if he is- he's still our best defensive middle.

His hitups have dropped off in direct correlation to reduced time on the field. His YPC are still pretty much the same- he just gets less game time at this stage.

So long as the Tigers are compliant with the NRL cap, the management can value whatever player they like at whatever it costs to have them. I don't believe we are all accountants in here. And even if we are- so long as the Tigers are under the cap....the players contract value is whatever it is. Here we are acting like we know more than the bean counters in the office.

The bloke you need to worry about is the one with the ball isn’t it?
Not really , when you have turbo sweeping , Ola hitting a hole , and lightning speed on the edges .
He’s the last person I’d be thinking about .
The dismissal of the gravity someone like Turbo generates , is not reality .

Yes , reason been , he is on the end of a team that gets deep and plays out the back , and quest what it’s not hard to do that type of play , it’s just our dumb coach’s have no idea
It’s like when we signed a winger with 20 tries the year before in Jennings . That really changed our backline ….

No disrespect intended but I can never tell if you're being entirely serious. What choice does/did he have? The person tasked with roster management for 2024 is no longer with the club... 😄. The same man who spent significant time negotiating with Mario Tartak, neglecting other areas of the roster, is mainly responsible. Fulton was that focused on Schuster the club lost a player in the process and ended up buying Latu Fainu(though a package deal with Samuela), Jayden Sullivan and Aiden Sezer in replacement - wasting valuable cap space and roster positions. The only other player I can recall him chasing was Jack Cpgger, another half. Seriously our backs were (still are) in dire need of attention. He could've brought any of those Manly backs across and it could've improved our depth.

Richo came aboard in mid-December and within a couple of weeks helped secure Jarome Luai. He also swiftly responded to the team's other immediate needs by signing Faataape, a centre/winger who provides crucial depth.
A stark contrast in efficiency between the two.
Fulton also forced Blore out of the club.

His issue was he had hands like feet . And he was being groomed to be moved in the forwards so he was bulkier here.
The issue is that a chunk of the supporter base decided he was our worst player/terrible player/horrible signing etc, etc.

He sure played a whole lot more 1st grade than some of his replacements have since moving on.

Talau is a fine player. We were a terrible team. But not because of Talau. That said, Manly are not a great team because of Talau either. They are just in a better overall state than the Tigers are/were at the time.

Danny Stapleton wouldn’t know who they were …

You sure you weren’t watching AJ Flipper hands? His catch and pass skill needs work which has popped up this year too.

Correction … someone Valued him… past tense … .he was here already signed up when the new management walked in …

Let’s see what happens with him… I think he has diminished since his first games with the club last year… so will be interested to see if this continues into next season …

Look at how they phrased the article though. — 'believed
to be earning more'. Instead of checking players pockets
they should look at the salary cap scams going on

why do you doubt it ? Crichton is on $800k amd Klemmer more… it’s not exactly unbelievable on what has been reported previously when they signed their contracts

Imagine - a winger playing outside Walker and Greg Inglis scoring tries…
Who’d have thunk it?

Plenty said at the time his stats were false hope - all he had to do for those tries was fall over the line…
From memory he started okay here but seemed to lose pace and gain lard overnight.
