If he goes to market - I think you’ll find he’ll have 6-8 clubs chasing him….
You’ll find there’s more interest in him around the game than there is for Stefano….
That along with him still being under contract is why there’s no noise…

we’ll miss Papali’i but moving him on was opportunistic. Samuela does twice the job on half the cash and ultimately it was the right call from that point of view.

our back row depth is shocking and it’s worse now that Bateman is gone, but his actions on and off field have been atrocious. you can’t have a player openly undermining the coach with younger players within earshot. we’ll find value in the market somewhere. Shaun Lane for instance is a player that may be sold by Parramatta to free up cap space. it’s just a matter of waiting for the opportunity to rear it’s head.

don’t lose faith in Richo mate. silence is golden. he would be working incredibly hard to turn this around, and doing it in quiet allows him to move quickly. he’ll fix it, he just needs time.

I'm thinking the same, @jrtiger . The season's done, so why not show that he means business, and if you're not pulling your weight, you can go. We do have kids that can replace you, you're not indispensable. It'd not like we can move any further down the ladder. Maybe Bateman comes back next season, in time for the whole pre-season, and really shows up. If he doesn't, off you trot, mate.

He's a keeper. Like his commitment and runs. Needs to work on his lateral defence a bit.

Not sure Paps is an edge player anymore. He was never a great defender and may have lost a little pace? Been impressed with his work rate and carries in the middle though.
I would have kept him for that but feel we can get better value for an edge (another Samuela).

And the Moses get out clause is for either 2025 or 2026. The roosters haven't won a comp in a while, they will sign the best they can get. A Moses+Walker halves combo would be best in the comp.

But for how many $$$$$$ and for how long?
What price $$$$$$ would you put on him to keep him?
And for how many years?
This would be why it takes some time and what "Get Out" clauses are in there for both sides?
