spork it all,i say.r u ok?r u ok?
phuquit?
The team needs leaders to put a rocket under some of the logs out there.Let’s look at reality,
This team need at a minimum
2x Middle forwards
1x Edge forward
2x Centre’s
2x Winger’s
And unless that happens in won’t matter who the Coach is.
Replacing another coach isn’t what we need, haven’t we learned that much at least over the last 5 years.
I'm cool - thought I needed to revert to phonetic toddler speak for the court jesterspork it all,i say.r u ok?
Quote of the season “green shoots”..sick of hearing that…I want to see winsDon't think anyone can expect a turnaround..but what we wanna see is some green shoots in key areas like player development..cohesion..commitment..sufficient to provide some hope for the future
Just not seeing any
This seasons spoon debacle will be a positive in that it shines the spotlight directly on the coach ..who shld never have been appointed in the first place
No where to run or hide
Who is the next Flanno
i wont /dont judge u new millennial thing things, does my head in.peace outI'm cool - thought I needed to revert to phonetic toddler speak for the court jester
lolThere really isn’t that much context when you look in depth at it. Not many people will say he wasn’t qualified when he only had the job for one year and didn’t have a proper chance to turn things around when most club coaches these days are given 2-3 seasons before getting the boot. While he was hired under a different admin, if the current admin does the same move of the previous one by sacking another coach in a short period then there’s no change from the admin point of view despite the new people running it. Any potential candidates he interviews should Benji be sacked after this season is finished all they have to do is look at how long the previous coach had the job for and knowing they only had it for one year is enough for them to not take the position should they be offered it. Or they most likely won’t even apply knowing they have only one year to get the club finals bound otherwise they are sacked.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.lol
The argument that Benji shouldn’t be sacked bc it means we don’t change our old patterns of behavior which has led us here is sooooo flawed I can’t even deal with it
Hypothetically if Craig Bellamy was available next year you’re saying that we shouldn’t sack Benji bc he should be given more time than one year so we don’t repeat the sage mistakes as the old admin?
If you would take Craig Bellamy - than that means you are saying we should sack Benji if there is a much better option.
Which means we’re only debating who the much better option is.
IMO We should def sack Marshall
And the reason why it’s different to the old admin is that Richo actually has footy IQ.
Pascoe was 12 years of failure.
He could’ve picked a coach every year or every 5 years and it wouldn’t matter. The universe was never going to let that clown win bc he was a pretender with no idea.
I’m sure if luai wasn’t coming next year Richo would be asking Benji to fall on his sword rather than sacking him.
Stop getting on the panic bandwagon with the rest of the sub-adult baby men here - we could have won that game without ONE player in Doueihi...Let’s look at reality,

If Bellamy was available I could understand sacking Marshall for him, but we all know he’s never gonna coach another club in his lifetime. At least another NRL side anyway so that rules him out. Bennett as well given he’s going back to Souths. Any club will be seen as a positive in the media by signing either of those 2.lol

Bro - I'm a half centenarian+ - not a Millennial.i wont /dont judge u new millennial thing things,does my head in.peace out
You answered it yourself. Benji is not qualified for the job. Easily the worst head coaching appointment in the NRL in the last 20 years. If Bellamy was available I could understand sacking Marshall for him, but we all know he’s never gonna coach another club in his lifetime. At least another NRL side anyway so that rules him out. Bennett as well given he’s going back to Souths. Any club will be seen as a positive in the media by signing either of those 2.
But anyway how do you expect for the club to not be seen as a basket case if we keep sacking coaches within a very short period? How can you justify sacking a coach after one year when most coaches even bog average ones get 2-3 years before they’re looking at the sack? I understand majority of these coaches have had some coaching experience elsewhere in some capacity before becoming head coaches, but who is gonna want to coach this club knowing that regardless how good they can be or good they are they have to get the club finals bound within one year otherwise they are sacked? Sheens got sacked after one year and if Benji is as well I doubt someone decent will put their hand up knowing it’s a one year job. Because that’s all we’re showing the NRL is coaching the Tigers is only for one year before we move onto the next.
I don’t expect a child to understand algebra. Thankfully I don’t believe in god - if I did he wouldn’t have allowed me to follow this team.At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. We already have Turuva as one of the replacement three-quarters next year & a new Origin/international halfback PLUS money to spend and an experienced operator targeting talent...
This forum should be renamed the MAN-BABY CRECHE!!
But pretty sure our wonderful mods @Lauren @Suzie-Q didn't sign up just to wipe the hurled poo off the walls...
No guarantees Galvin stays even if Benji is gone. Being an Issac Moses client there’s every chance he’s out regardless. But if you want to attract a decent coach how do you expect to do that when we sack our coaches in a very short period as of late. 4 different head coaches since 2022, I get Noddy was an interim but he did officially have the position for a period of time. No decent coach is gonna come to a club that barely keeps its head coach for more than a season. Madge was the last one to stay for more than a year and we’ve had 3 different coaches since. Who’s gonna want to come to that if we can’t keep them for more than a year and sack them when they don’t make the 8?I agree with you
If galvin had another year on his contract and he wasn’t able to talk to teams until November 1 2026 - I would 100% be on board with giving benji 3/4 of next year.
But if we don’t start well galvin is out.
In my opinion he’s a generational talent like teddy was and if it means sacrificing marshal to keep him than that’s what I would do.
Unfortunately we don’t have that much time to waste bc of players contracts
You won’t fix the coaching staff if no one that is decent will come knowing they’re employed for a year before getting the sack. That’s what I’ve been saying the whole time. Who’s gonna come when if they aren’t gonna get a proper chance to turn things around? Any decent coach will think why come to a club that’s known for sacking its coaches in a short period? You answered it yourself. Benji is not qualified for the job. Easily the worst head coaching appointment in the NRL in the last 20 years.
There are a lot of parts to the footy club that need fixing. The playing roster and coaching staff are two of them and there is no reason we can’t try to fix both of these at the same time.
IMO you would only keep Benji on if you were confident in his ability as a coach. You can’t worry about perception if you (Richo) decides a move needs to be made. Players know very quickly if a coach can or can’t coach. If Benji can’t coach we will lose players.
Again… it’s richo this time not Justin and Lee.No guarantees Galvin stays even if Benji is gone. Being an Issac Moses client there’s every chance he’s out regardless.
