Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

This forum has reached an all time low. So Benjis a racist! But only to some and not others. Give me a break. The most powerful card in the deck is the race card. Playing it in public on the say so of some disgruntled ex footballer is pretty low.

I can’t stop people posting crap but I can stop reading it so I’m out.

I wish all the decent posters all the best and keep fighting the good fight and to all the trolls and keyboard warriors seriously have a good look at yourself. You must be so proud.

Well said.

Did West Tigers recruitment team do their homework on Bud Sullivan before they rushed out and signed him?? No is the answer because if they did, they would have realized Bud is nothing more than a overrated inconsistent footballer and nothing will change that.
You can’t know that until you have seen him play plenty of first grade footy.
We still haven’t.

Tell me about it. A few on here. You're amongst it. Getting the pretend Goss from your Lebanese mates proves nothing. We need to get rid of the Lebanese influence at the club, it's almost destroyed the Balmain Tigers and offered zero benefit to WT too
WTF!!!!
We need more leb influence, gets things done.
We can start affording players like Moses because we give him 900 on the books but his wife will get a 300k job managing vendors at Balmain leagues etc
Matt Burton can open up a catering company that leases to club etc

This is lebanese ideas

Ok so let me get this straight Naden and Bud are on the outer because of their heritage. Firstly I think Naden is on the outer because of his brain snaps, as others have pointed out he’s 28 with only 70 starts that’s a clue.
Bud I would hazzard a guess may be on the outer because we simply want him to move on, he was a panic buy blind Freddy could tell you that.
Lastly does anyone seriously think Richo would let that fly considering the club he spent most of his time at and their rich history with indigenous players?
You also have Bula and Sezer with indigenous heritage, I dunno I think someone is getting fed info with an alternate agenda.
I think its more nuanced but possibly correct.

They did their usual recruitment homework of reading the Daily Telegraph, watching the players YouTube highlight reel and one time at band camp he had a decent game against us.

Oh come on. Put it in perspective, Its the opinion of one guy, being shouted down by just about everyone else mind you. How can you let one opinion on the internet effect you that much?

So there seems to be a few cards ready to fall, but cap space is an issue...

Val Holmes to St George- Cowboys NEED Holmes off the books. Dragons want Holmes on theirs. Holmes is now suggesting he'd like to stay in NQ.

RCG to Cowboys- Cowboys need to move Holmes to afford RCG. If Holmes won't go, who else can they shift?

Holmes to Roosters- this is Val's rumoured preferred destination, but Roosters need to clear cap space to do so. Cheese on the move? Who needs a hooker- oh, Parramatta..

Horsburgh to Bulldogs- latest rumour, St George was leading but looks like the Bulldogs are leading now.

Newcastle need to move Siafiti, Hetherington- I don't know WHY, but both have been told they can look elsewhere. Who do they have lined up?

Sharks still need to move someone to make room for Fonua-Blake

Utoikamanu & now this All Black guy to the Storm- they will need to fit these under their cap without losing anybody????

The Bateman situation for next year is still confusing.

His latest statements sound relatively positive about returning.

IF HE DOES RETURN- he's on the books, so where do you play him? I think it has to be #13. If we can't move Bateman on, I think the club should try to add a dynamic back rower like Sam Fainu (like Fainu- I didn't say same quality etc). I'm noticing teams getting bigger metres out of wide running forwards than middles. Also, having that dynamic threat running off Galvin & Luai on the edges makes our shifts quite dangerous. Ideally- a guy that likes running the inside angle.
