Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Gutherson is definitely on the downhill of his career and I cant stand him. But his competitiveness at Training and during a game is exactly what we need. Not sure Parra would release him.
Ryles seems reluctant to release any of the core nucleus at Parra, Moses, Brown, Paulo, Penisini and Gutherson. all this chat about Gutho leaving I feel holds no weight.

LOL are you kidding?
He went straight from Ball to NRL. The majority of them except Laulilii, Ailamalo and Lobb
No, I am not kidding. I'd appreciate you answering the question.

List out the players who have been outside of Galvin this season, that have been good in any capacity this year.

My prediction is you give them all a get out of jail free card and blame the kid who came straight from SG Ball. Meanwhile Sezer get's off scott free.

The truth is our outside backs have been woeful in attack and in defence this year.

With AFB arriving for next season the Sharks have granted Hunt the opportunity to look around. I also noticed that Tuku Hau Tapuha is off contract at the end of next season so come November he may be a consideration for a depth signing given he is just 22 but is a big body at 114kg and has not looked out of place in the NRL when called up.

something will definitely give at the Sharks with AFB turning up and Hamlin-Uele re-signing. Williams and Kaufusi are off contract and Hunt has been given the opportunity to look around, but any of Rudolf, Taphua or Colquhoun could easily leave.

we need to be front of the queue when something inevitably gives.

He is the prop I would buy. He's from the Illawarra so he is not a Sharks' junior.

But I would be weary of who and why the Sharks are letting the player leave, example Rudolph carrying a lot of injuries this year
(stay away from)
Kaufusi as a middle ✅
Colquhoun as an edge ✅

Hamlin Uele is the one to target - He's ripe for the picking....
He's their highest paid, And the one they'll 'need' to move to keep balanced...
The one they'd least like to lose, But it's either the 1 of him, Or 2 of the Others....
He's the best of all of them, and the one we need....

Been off the park a bit this year, But he's coming into being a real beast for them.

So it’s everyone else’s fault?
All these outside backs with far more experience?
That’s very convenient.
When Galvin runs at the line, he has to pass the ball back 2m to some slow moving or slow thinking centres. They don't seem to be able to foresee opportunities? Maybe see it but too slow to execute it?
Stand to deep.............too slow? Stand too shallow.............no time to think where I should be heading.
It must be frustrating for an 18yr old to have to wait for the experience to arrive.

You're probably right more I think about it.
Longer minutes too but on good coin..

He’s a cool customer.

I think he feed off Jerome and vice versa, theyd both be looking forward to it.
Once he is under less pressure to run the attack and lead the group as well as groom the younger players iv got no doubt he will find his best footy again.

Worth discussing Galvin...

I honestly see him spending his entire career in the halves. To me, the player he reminds me of the most, physically and ability wise is Daly Cherry Evans.

Benji has given him the jersey and its his to keep.

Latu, however.... I could see him becoming a revelation at centre. Strong defender, has a bit of toe to him. He'd be Jamie Lyon-like, with the ability to ball play and tackle everything thrown in front of him.
He played a couple of games in cup in the centres (left side) including a final. Not sure how he went as I only seen highlights. He would have no problems defensively
