Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

These are the two players, along with Luai and Galvin, that we can build the club around.
If we are a development club then he m there is no alternative, we have to keep them whatever it takes.
There's no point keeping all the average joes if when a Jordan pops into your ballpark you trade him for Sam Bowie
No one knew Jordan was going to be Jordan though . He was just the kid who made ”that shot” for NC.
He was a volume shooter and no one thought he was going to be much better than an occasional all star.
the blazers thought Drexler was better .
my point in all that is you can’t really know . Even the storm in our game , their big 4 of slater, Inglis , cronk and smith were all discards from one club or another .
And they’re both projected as centres/ fullbacks in nrl .

Dylan Walker is a genuine footy player but he breaks down a lot - high risk Olam like signing.
Yes, seems too old and not in form.

That said he has good footy skills and could help with training and getting players to improve their game.

I rather liked one talk on triple M ... Instead of getting another forward, fork out for Brian T'oo.

He is a boom winger and could transfer to the centers. Whatever position he plays he would be an upgrade in defense and massive boost in offense. Would combine well with both Luai and Api. Sure our front row would suck, but our front row is going to suck anyway.

Otherwise were talking picking up Parra defectors/rejects. RCG perhaps.. (was going to name more players, but Other then RCG or Paulo... I wouldn't want anyone else from Parra).

I can't think of any other front rowers on the market. Luai will need some power up front if he is to make the most of it. I won't blame non-success if Klemmer is our best front rower next year.

I feel sorry for our hookers. With the other lazy shit middle defenders they get isolated and tackle themselves to a standstill.

API made 37 tackles today while playing 20 minutes in the halves.

Front rowers made 20.

We need some aggressive forwards with engines.
Man, watching API play is like watching Benji of old.

We don’t tackle…
We just catch them!!

A mate of mine went out to watch Newington versus Kings today. He said Makasini was awesome for Newington. However, there was a rumour floating around out there that Makasini had signed for Souths. Take it for what you will, it’s not a reliable source, but let’s hope it’s not true.
More rubbish rumours.
Why do you spread this here say crap for everyone to comment on for the next 24 hours.
Painful rubbish.

1. Bula/Mason
2. Turuva/Luke L
3. Olam/Faats/Saukuru
4. Doohey/Toa/Feledy/Naden
5. Skelton/Stains
6. Galvin
7. Jerry/Latu/Dud/Sezer

Thats the 18 backs we have for next year. The glaring obvious issue is the 2 centre positions. Olam is a solid first grader now, at his best he was a killer, I think his best is far behind him. Doohey is pretty decent in attack but tissue paper puts up a tougher defensive line than this bloke. The Tigers desperately need a gun centre for 2026 if this is an all but finalised list of what they have to put on the park in 2025. Those 7 centre players are very very very average. Any rumours out there of centres we are going after? Who is available?

It's a rumours and suggestions thread. A post like this is exactly what the thread is supposed to be. Hearing it at a game the junior player is playing at is a reasonable rumour to post. It's not simply made up by the poster.

That gun centre for 2026 is Heamasi Makasini. The club has done well to make a clear and open pathway for him to first grade.

Instead of fast tracking HM to first grade he can develop as he should and when Olam retires he should be more than ready to step up. Won’t just be another 18 year old chucked in but a 20ish year old who has time to work on his game.

Our centres are terrible.
