Barry O’Farrell is considering departing the club after he was told that he would have to reapply for his job as Tigers chairman.

Not sure Barry is the sharpest tool in the shed ? He’s now had two goes as Chairman and hasn’t got it right thus far.

It’s almost the silly season , managers are wheeling and dealing , players are moving on , so there’s way less loyalty .
Information is old be far easier to obtain this time of the year especially for teams guaranteed to miss finals .
It will tighten right back up once the pre season kicks off , and rosters settle .

Hopefully they are following through with the recommendations, she made assurances when she was appointed Chair that the recommendations would be implemented in full.

I have contacted her about coming on the pod to provide an update on the implementation of the recommendations.

Please make sure that happens cochise. Yes, she's a board member of HBG due to her debenture, but she is a custodian, not an owner of WT. A non-profit is not personal ownership. She needs to understand that fact and ensure her personal aspirations do not override the benefit of her stakeholders.

She'll honestly have some extremely angry people on her hands if she does the wrong thing. Honestly, it looks like she's doing it already.... 😠

Benny Elias meeting with Richardson and Api was interesting. He has been very critical of the club, but on 360 tonight said he was sold on Richardsons plans and sees success in the near future. Why Richardson felt the need to bring him in for a meeting is puzzling.

My theory is Benny might be getting tapped for an independant board members role. I hope not though.

I thought the consensus was that very few listen to anything Benny says anyway- clearly Richardson sees it differently if he has taken the time to convince him otherwise.

If you listen to him long enough he generally rebuts his own discussion points.

Thank you for being so professional in your dealings with HBG @cochise !

I hope they can provide assurances ‘on the record’ that they will follow through on the review recommendations including the 4 independents on the Board.

The review was done for the betterment of the club and if self interest stands in the way of the club progressing, they will feel the wrath. The longer there is a delay in the Board saying or doing something, the more vitriol that the likes of Buzz & co will continue to throw at the club too.

I am confident that Richo won’t stand for the Board not being restructured so we wait I suppose.

About 18 months but there is no point in running as the way their board is set up it is impossible to have any influence.

It seems the Board that sacked itself is back in charge and doing the same ole same ole again… leaks have started they don’t want Barry as chair… how long before Richardson throws in the towel and quits due to this dysfunctional board
