Who are we barracking for in the finals once our season finishes? And for what reason? I've personally got cronulla

Penrith, cause they breed their own like us, then Melbourne , and as long as the rorters get knocked out first, followed by Manly & St George.

Sounds good in principle Yoshi but don’t think it will happen. Certainly not in tandem and not alternatively with the Dogs just starting to hit their straps either.
I still think getting Meriton back on track to replace Brydens would certainly be beneficial ( and old Harry’s got quite a pile as well).
And I’d ask Harry to renovate both our grounds, with his contacts in the building industry I’m sure he would get the job done at the right price ( and quick as well).
2 Meriton Stadiums would fit the bill and sit ok with me !.

Funny footy facts;
- Arthur Laundy, pub baron and major Dogs sponsor,was actually a long time Tigers supporter, and only got involved with Canterbury coz he was a mate of Dean Pay. Ironically the day he agreed to sign on as sponsor, Pay was sacked by the Board.
He said he was sick of the Dogs coming last so was advised by the Board the best thing he could do was hire Phil Gould.
Initial meeting was held at Percy’s Hotel opposite North Sydney Oval. Whilst Gould was involved with the Warriors at that time, he accepted the job at a club he knew and loved.
Gould then approached Ciraldo at Penrith but, at that stage, Ciraldo was in heavy negotiation with the Wests Tigers but eventually was totally underwhelmed by the people and systems at WT and when he met with the Laundys and Gould he felt much more comfortable.
So Dogs got a keen major sponsor, Gould and Ciraldo. Timing is everything eh !
Of course we had Brydens, Pascoe and little else, now I wonder why he chose the Dogs !!!

The late Gary Johnston of Jaycar fame was also a Wests Tigers supporter when he took the slot at the dogs around 2010-11.

I'd hope we could get a totally new, high profile well known sponsor on a great deal.
We've been with Triguboff/Merriton.before and while. I know it's just sponsorship/cash, I'd prefer something someone totally new and fresh. Triguboff seems more interested in Balmain more so then. WTs imo.
I want new sponsors... New board, new coaches, new jersey... We really need to turn, this place around and while some are more important than others ($5m is $5m either way regardless where it comes from)... We. Really need to start climbing the ladder starting from full time next Friday at Cambo... The new WTs begins then!

IF we somehow managed to get Sam Burgess as coach here oh my days, would we be in for something special! 🔥 Got the hallmarks of a special coach written all over him! 🙌🏾 As a player he’s my first forward I’d pick if I was choosing a team from any era to save my life! The toughest most inspirational player I have ever seen in my lifetime!

Instead of chasing players who are being released by clubs because they're on big dollars and not living up to it, I'd prefer to chase players who are knocking on the door of first grade but can't get a run. Bugger Bird, Hunt and Horse off. Chase any other sharks prop, a butcher brother or even a Couchman instead. The dogs should also have a backrower available next year.

It will throw the Roosters into a frenzy having to identify and recruit players to fill positions occupied by Walker and Smith. I'm not sure how bad Radley is but it didn't look good.

I think AD & possibly Naden will definitely be on their radar. Can play in the halves & they are lacking in outside backs with Suailili & Manu going. Their back 5 are Teddy, Tupou, Pauga, Smith & Young with the rugby convert. Not much else.
