Season 2025 Expectations, Predictions & Key Positions.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you are both right; however, it depends on what he sees in front of him. When he feels pressured he runs on instinct; I expect having had drumed into him never to pass a ball to a player under more pressure than yourself. If he doesn't feel pressured then he plays what's in front of him and we have seen him catch and pass, run and pass and lay the ball off on different occasions.

He bacame a little sparodic once teams worked out that he runs when pressured so this upsets our game plan. As we approached the back half of the season he has adjusted to the pace and pressure of FG and not felt the need to run as much (still a little too much for me).

Anyway, simply my observations on watching him develop over the season. I expect a good offseason he will have adapted more to the pressure and speed of the game which will allow hime to play more eyes up football, which is his bread and butter. Luai is the same type of player so having that threat on each side of the field, combined with Galvin's ability to pop up on either side of the ruck may disrupt even the better defensive sides.

Add a couple of menacing forward on the edge and for the first time in a while points may not be a big issue.
I can’t recall him throwing a single hospital pass. He has great vision he just needs help from some quality in the outside backs.

Well if you’re trying to make the point that they are doing it for the money you could have used different examples. All 4 of those players are among their clubs best, Crichton, Burton and Kikau have taken the dogs to top 4 contenders. Weird way to make a point.

I’m sure money is a big factor in their decisions, but none of those players have dropped off in performance.
I’m not saying that anyone’s form has dropped 🤷
Just saying they are looking after themselves and their families by getting a bigger pay packet while they can.

Always a good read.
Thanks Jolls.

Key to retention here is Winning.
And replacing people who don’t want to be hear with quality who do
Stef out = Hunt in , that’s a win
Toupu out = Skelton in , that’s a win
Sezer out = Luai in , that’s a win
Nadan Dumped = Turuva in , that’s a win
Ipap out = just waiting on Richo , it will be a win
and more to come
So Far Galvin should be licking his lips with the Players coming

Stef out = Hunt in , that’s a win
No it isnt.
Stef avg's 109m/game, 28 tackles/game, 42 PCM's/game, over 4 tackle breaks/game
Royce avg's 59m/game, 12 tackles/game, 29 PCM's/game, 1.4 tackle breaks/game
etc, etc, etc....Royce is a step down.
Toupu out = Skelton in , that’s a win
Maybe one day, but not at the moment.
Currently its a reserve grader replacing a first grader with International experience.
Sezer out = Luai in , that’s a win
Yes it is.
Nadan Dumped = Turuva in , that’s a win
Yes it is
Ipap out = just waiting on Richo , it will be a win
Highly doubt that. In fact, Im prepared to say his replacement will be a step down.

At the moment, Luai and Turuva are something to get excited about.
Still waiting to see what they do with the pack.

No loss in Tupou based on achievements to date . He may go on to great things but you can count his good games in first grade on one hand . For most games was an expert at stupid errors dropped balls running it back early in the count , dropped catches and lazy to turn around when making a miss in defence . And didn’t play most this season, so Skelton only really needs to stay health and warrant first grade to add value over Tupou. Tupou clearly has potential but based on performances to date it’s no loss .

It's really bizarre to me how you shit on these guys all year long then when it gets announced they're leaving you suddenly become their biggest fans. I will expect the same with Galvin if he leaves after you constantly keep bagging the kid for no reason at all Lol.

When have I bagged these guys as players?
Performances are a different beast and open for comment.
Only an idiot who doesn’t understand footy thinks I shit on Galvin as a player.

Could have long been playing well, as he has lately, if our coaching staff had seen the bloody obvious middle that was in front of them and played him there.

I think you'll find that everyone was more caught up in the will he or wont he to pay too much attention to his game in his 2nd season at Parra as well....
He switched sides and was no where near as effective overall.

He had lost a bit of the Hunger he'd amassed while playing ressies for the Warriors....
I think his big contract with us softened him up, He's had one standout year in NRL
(He's coming into his 9th season)

The kid had a major injury this season, so couldn't progress. Still easily the best yardage back at the club. Skelton will come to the club to replace him in for that role. Still need a FB who is a threat on kick returns.
True. But I was going off last years form . Yes he’s young

Not sure a neutral fan would agree with all of these, but love the positivity.
