I like this. I think Benji will find some space for Latu Fainu on the bench though. Then you have the problem of 3 middles on the bench and no one to cover the edge.I'd say Bird takes a spot in the centres as he has done all season with the Dragons. What is our biggest areas of deficiency in defence? Out wide. This is the opportunity to make Doueihi a depth player. Bird plays one side, Olam the other. I think this strengthens the team dramatically in defence. I wonder if Doueihi gets a suggestion to try the wing at his size?
Forward pack next season:
8. Hunt
9. Koroisau
10. Klemmer
11. Sam Fainu
12. Seyfarth
13. Horsburgh
14. Twal
15. Pole
16. Sione Fainu
17. Joe Stimson/Dylan Walker
I think Richo has done alot of salary moving and front loading contracts to create money. Bateman was released for this reason alone.$2 mill - Hunt would be what between $400-$500K. Bird probably similar depending what the Dragons pitch in.
Horsburgh would be similar again. But we would need to release someone I think... Pending spots.
Whoever we land after Bird, I'd say we still have a fair bit of change... To'a with back ended deal?
Who’s covering Api?I like this. I think Benji will find some space for Latu Fainu on the bench though. Then you have the problem of 3 middles on the bench and no one to cover the edge.
I wonder if you can carry
14) Latu Fainu (on for Horsburgh)
15) Twal/ Sione Fainu
16) Pole
17) Bird (bench cover for 2nd row and centre)
Reckon Latu can provide cover there as well? Sione has done a decent job at lock when playing there this yearWho’s covering Api?

Da Silva has looked the goods. Latu in cup to start the year?I would be looking to play Da Silva next year off the bench …
He looks like he has some talent ..could be the starting 9 come 2026

I don't think the Tigers will be getting Royce Hunt and Corey Horsburgh. I got my email at 9.46. That’s half an hour later than that prick, and I’ve been a member for over ten years (but with a two year break in the middle).
So much for members first.
They are mates who used to play together for Mounties - it was in good humourI don't think the Tigers will be getting Royce Hunt and Corey Horsburgh. If they do the first training system will be fun....

Royce Hunt and Corey Horsburgh have become embroiled in a hilarious post-game feud - but in a massive blow to fans of big man on big man violence, the pair won't meet again until Round 27.www.sportingnews.com
Wonder how often the Bellamy's etc are thinking IF when they sign someoneBird is a definite risk but i can see some value in him at 13 if his body holds up to it.
Faster forwards that can cover positions are becoming more crucial with the speed of the play these days and added in HIAs requiring versatility.
I'd be betting on Bird playing a number of positions as needs must with injuries.I'd say Bird takes a spot in the centres as he has done all season with the Dragons.
It's a bit of a conundrum. Latu, Da Silva and Mason all make a good case for 14, but I don't want two of them in the 17.Da Silva has looked the goods. Latu in cup to start the year?

I think Johannsson will be a smoky for that 80 min. effort in the pack.Talented junior but lazy, hasn't made the transition
but we've got the pathways right since then thankfully
Presumably they're thinking about what Utoikamanu might be if they can get him to put a bit of effort in.Wonder how often the Bellamy's etc are thinking IF when they sign someone
