Api transition to DaSilva

Agree
We need the coaching staff to be thinking putting TDS on is a positive move,
Not putting him on to give API a rest.
If Luai leads the team next year that should make the transition easier for playing 2 hookers.

Which IMO will benefit API and the whole team.
100%. It’s about having a balanced roster. We replaced one little goer with another without fixing our main issues.

It's a long season for all DH's who handle the ball more than any other player and are getting targeted in D in the middle by the big units.

Geezus can't turn on API - even after a poor performance. He got us back into the game against Manly at 16 - 0 the game prior.
He is clearly exhausted mentally and physically there is no energy in your body when a team is getting cooked, but adrenaline kicks in when you are in the fight. Like Gutho was getting bagged a couple of weeks ago and then find out he has been playing with injury because his coach needed him to.
Api is that player for us.
The Bulldogs for all their gallantry are starting to show the signs of the wear and tear
It's a gruelling season and they might be fit but it takes it toll.

People need to ask some questions when it comes to criticism of Api’s game.

Why is our hooker kicking the ball off?
Why is our leader and hooker kicking goals when he should be back rallying his troops?
Why isn’t the Forbes Ferrari beating him down on kick chase?
Don’t we have someone else to take goal line drop outs?
Why is Api tackling harder than the big men?

For all the errors he actually made, why doesn’t someone else fu#%ing step up!

i have really admired Api’s efforts in the main these past 2 years when other well paid players efforts have been questioned..

I won’t dwell on tonight’s effort though for Api … but just wondering what the consensus and plan is to get TDS as the starting 9?

Im hoping he can transition off the bench next year and take over as the starter in 2026…

Anyone with me?
I said a couple of weeks ago he looked injured and/or in decline. He was good against Manly but that seems an exception. Hopefully he comes back better in 25 but yeah the succession plan needs to be beefed up.

Benji said in the presser he played with injury.

We’re resting skipper for spoon bowl due to a niggle.

Tigers fans would of loved that.

It was pretty telling when he appeared on the Matty Johns show with Lachie they asked him why are you kicking goals now? he said “because no one else could”

Just one example of many of the incompetence in roster management of prior management. Clearly didn’t see the importance of turning 4 into 6 🦃

Fainu needs to be our halfback next year. Maybe not from round 1, and certainly dependant on how Galvin is going, but that kid is classy and we need him in first grade.
Fainu needs to be there somewhere, but how do you fit in Luai, Galvin and Fainu?
