Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Lake Cathie (Cat-eye not Cathy) for me.
Just north of Bonny’s, sometimes the lake is open sometimes not, depending on the weather conditions etc. We had a family Xmas lunch there when I was a teenager and I’ve never forgotten it. I love it there, I love the ocean/water. I’m on the mid north coast, so getting closer.

In the interest of thread title; We should get a good lock.
I lived in Lake Cathie a few years back. Great spot. Home of the big bowl. I'm in Forster now. Gotta love the mid north coast

This is where we need to balance out on who can move on to what we pay.

Either pay out to leave or pay towards their salary at a new club.

Skelton was apparently about $235K. Bird $400K, unsure if the Dragons paying anything, doubt it. Hunt who knows but I'm guessing about $400K as well.

Means we still have $1 mil plus in the cap & whatever we saved this year on Nofa, Simpkin, Kepaoa & Bateman.

Montoya $300K & Hetherington $450K is fair.

So let's hope we can get someone to take a player or two off our hands.

Money isn't the issue. Spots are!

Big Bowl? You mean medium bowl.

Wow, LC to Forster. Not bad. Forster would be another place I’d live. Some great spots, along the beach, canals, old school canals on the Tuncurry side are kool too. Yeah and the other side of, is it Wallis Lake? Some spots round there beautiful. If I can’t smell salt I’m too far from home.
MNC rules!!!

And in the interest of thread title; I suggest we sign the best prop available.

That's the biggest (lawn) bowl I've ever seen!

You know it, Wallis Lake. South of Wallis is Smith then Myall Lake. Bloody beautiful part of the world. I was out on Wallis Lake today. The visibility was ridiculous. I could see the fish not taking my bait. They're too smart for me

Well done.

Lived up there ages ago.

Please, please don’t go swimming at the beach when it’s unpatrolled.

Sea conditions change quick and it’s notorious for drownings.

On a lighter note, my tip about Manly hasn’t aged very well, the games still going and it’s a bloodbath lol.
Our block is 650m from Rainbow Beach and surf club

Solved our issue (expand reply, I’m new to this)
Looks like you’re all over it to me.

So your avatar, you got Sayfart with a red arrow to old mate kicking back having a beer with a midget (Luke Brooks I presume), duct taped to a wall in the back ground? Have I got it all? There’s a lot going on in that avatar. I like it so far, what’s the meaning behind it?

If that is our top squad for 2025 then in my opinion they are a bottom four side at best.

Yeah it’s probably the biggest one I’ve seen to, but every time someone says “the Big Bowl” it takes me a second to realise and then I think oh yeah that bowl out the front of LC bowlo, it’s so big I could probably step over it. 😁
Anyway ya not going to LC for the bowlo.

You would know.

It's a personal opinion.

"What have they done?" doesn't in the slightest make me feel any obligation to justify my opinion: it's nonsensical and frankly would be obsequious to try....

We're allowed to have different thoughts and opinions, and that's okay. My favourite food is steak, but I'm not going to justify why to someone who likes sausages more.

but had an interesting chat with someone linked to the club over the weekend

might already be common knowledge so apologies

- for batemen to play in the super league, the tigers had to terminate his existing contract another 2 years worth 800 and 850

- the club releases simpkin and kepoa from existing deals contributing nothing

- richo used this money as a payout to bateman to the amount of $450k

- batemen has signed a new year 2 year deal with the club worth $600k a season

- great business imo, helps with cap space but also helps us lure potential suitors with a reasonable contract

Smart business..

If he does want to stay overseas or go elsewhere it would be less now to contribute as well.

Happy days ahead..

Don’t disagree but Batemans laughing all the way to the bank…wish the signed players could just play good rugby league.

Next thing the strong clubs will be shorting players contracts…
