Also the same guy who said he thinks he was going to retire after next year and this Tigers contract will be his last!
Wingers are the yardage men these days mainly. Hunt is the least of our worries. Tough prop will do a job, jury out on minutes we need 35-40 out of him.
Hunt can't play more than 10-15 mins before the opposition starts targeting him.
I've changed my mind on him.
He's a liability.

Did y ou u guys watch that hammering last round ? The eels absolutely targeted Stef around the ruck . And his apathy was a big contributor to them running in all those points.
They just ran through his corridor the whole time . That “Stef” isn’t a pimple on hunts arse . The Stef you guys are talking about is the one who turns up when there’s no pressure . The storm might get that player . But he wasn’t going to turn up for us , so you’re literally comparing an idea to a truth .
It’s not about Hunt replacing Stef , it’s about whether pole , klemmer , twal and Fainu and hunt can replace Stef . We get hetherington to shore up the middle defensively , and that’s a net gain . Maybe use him as a second dummy half like we used to use Halatau .
are comparing his last half a season here to the rest of his career....
And in those 3-4 years - Only forum peanuts are trading Stefano at 23-24 for a 28-28 year old Royce Hunt and openly claiming they've struck gold....
- Basing it off the player and the games they've played (About the same amount)
opinions like the above - would be completely reversed if Stefano here had signed on.
I can't wait till next year, When you're all banging on like you knew Hunt was a bad signing,
a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Hunt isn’t a win over Stef. I don’t even view him as a Stef replacement we need another prop.
Naden isn’t dumped yet
Ipap if it’s Hethrington is a backward step
We then have the Bateman flip flop
Skelton, Turuva and Luai are wins.
Maybe our coaching killed Stef like it did ipap and Bateman.
Stef Bateman ipap - all representative players. All playing dejected.
My prediction is Steff will play state of origin next year and everyone will say he dogged it at the tigers but not look at reasons why.

He can’t be replaced. He will most likely be the premier prop in the game and have a GF ring this time next year.
What should be concerning for us is the number of players who’ve made their debut at Tigers and are now playing in finals with other teams. An arbitrary point but you could count Stefano in that group, also Garner, Eisenhuth, Brooks..
Come on man ……. He’s a front rower , he’s not exactly working on quantum physics here ! He has 2 jobs . Run the ball hard , to deliver the quickest play the ball possible , and make his tackles /control the ruck to the slowest possible ruck speed .
Ice didn’t dog it and he’s leaving ? He actually played his best games for us as he finished the season .
If he dogged it , I’m not saying he did or didn’t , i said he was apathetic, and disengaged .
And that’s on him , no one else . You’re missing my point . If anything you’re reinforcing it . The version of Stef who played out 2024 for us , is barely replacement level . The version that may / or not , turns up for the storm is not relevant . My belief if there is a change , he needs external motivation and drive . And for a guy who used to say he wanted to be a leader , he needed to be the one to drive that .
Especially if he wanted 800k a season to do it .
You’re emotionally invested in an idea mate . The reality tells a completely different story .

He's a win on our bench ... hopefully the replacement for Stef is yet to be announced.
guy plays 12 mins. and if he plays 25 he is a liability after 12 mins.
People are blind and seeing only what they want.
If you think having a 12 minute player on the bench is ok then fine.
He's an overweight, slow, no lateral movement, poor fitness, happy to be given a 3 yr retirement deal, good for 4 destructive carries, defensive liability....
him along with olam and bird are going to be players we wished we never signed.
