Once again old mate i gotta disagree. cleary , while a good kick of the ball, aint nothing special. What i will say is , a cog in a well oiled machine. Plays his part , but unable to function without all the great support he recieves from the team. He has failed on the the biggest stage(SOO) where the good players are exposed & the truly great players excell.Might be a GOAT , but i dont think so.

Cleary carried & won the Panthers the GF last year, wasn’t even close support class. Against the Storm he had a busted hand and shoulder still made 30 tackles and 200+ mtrs - didn’t at all shrug away from his ask.

Hate Cleary all you like but he is one hell of a player & has lifted when his club needed him the most.

If he retired tomorrow 100% he would at some stage enter the HOF. That’s crazy to say for a 26yr old who is only halfway through with still 8yrs+ potentially to go on his career.

Beccaaauuseee, they are more than likely finally going to be weakened. Think of it this way. He’s just arriving to the most hyped, out of control party you can imagine, and just as he’s arriving, everyone is starting to reach for their jackets and head for the door.

Not sure if they’re the greatest club of modern era. But they’re in the discussion for sure.

Agree about entertainment but intensity of the game and closeness of the scores did it for me.

Considering they are trying to market the game as a glamour sport by opening the season in Vegas now, I’m not sure why they haven’t gone all out in trying to lure a big name act from overseas for the pre game entertainment. They are better off having no entertainment than the junk they currently trot out.

Sure does.
Even though the Parra team was incredible and the greats of the green machine cannot be denied; statistically speaking 5 Grand finals in a row, winning 4 puts them in the discussion of greatest teams of all-time, let alone modern era.
A dodgy call aside, they were the better team yesterday. Hugely impressive win.
Remarkable achievement.

I'm in Adelaide and maybe the Channel 9 coverage showed that where you come from - but over here there was no vision of the footage that the bunker used to make their ruling. It was only after the game when Danika Mason tried to assure viewers that the media had been shown the bunker footage which "clearly" showed that the ball did not make contact - in other words: "nothing to see here".

Funny about Penrith to that they could've won their first (losing GF) and at least have been forced into ET against Souths, lost against the Broncos and lost last night.

Only the Parramatta win was emphatic.

He’s not at all my thing musically, but The Kid Laroi is probably the most famous/recognised Aussie artist around at the moment, including in the USA. Not bad for a guy from Redfern.

The pre-game entertainment has NEVER been good. It’s tradition at this point.

Garner is not rated highly there. They shopped him this year and brought back a hobbled second rower to play big minutes ahead of him. He’s a cheap player who is first to be moved for other options.

Next year they’ll have Papali’i and Martin on the edges with Yeo at lock. Sorensen may move into the middle rotation or just have an impact role off the pine. Garner will again be a back up.

Congratulations to the bloke for the two rings, he’s played the role of fill-in with aplomb.
