That should untangle some knickers.

I know he’s good and all, but why are we guaranteeing a top 30 spot to a young player again?
Because otherwise they don't stay and 18 in the outside backs is when most of them come into NRL and without it he goes elsewhere - he is a level of talent where he is getting lots of great offers. Our issue hasn't been guaranteeing a spot to young players it's been not to the right young players.

We need to win some games so we can stop this nonsense.

Although the markets apparently had the storm as favourites, I don’t think many people here thought the Panthers would go down wondering.

If they were to lose, it would’ve come down to a few errors, a missed tackle or a ref blunder.

It would never have been because they were actually incapable of winning or that they were over-awed by the occasion.

A lot has been said about their team culture and the depth of friendships.

I’d definitely be asking JL about that aspect of their club.
Forget the culture , get him to bring with him there fitness trills and there work efforts in defence , and that should be benjis 1st priority

His family are deeply religious and so are many players, I think we should have a chapel or “room of faith” at the white elephant for players to pray in if they want to.

We were going to have an Islamic prayer room at one of my old places of employment, but one of the managers turned it into her office.

Yeah Im almost certain Benji will interrogate him surreptitiously and sneakily at least, find out what they are doing training wise.

I would for sure.

Ask him about old training stories, lead him into a trap and take notes afterwards.

I wouldn’t expect him to betray Ivan front on. He can’t hide his intelligence our JL.

From a report on last weeks U18 Wallabies v All Blacks

Winger Heamasi Makasini, another one who will surely have caught the eye of League, was an ever present physical presence. At one stage, late in the second half, he swatted away opposition players comically before drawing a penalty for a high shot. It was the only way to bring him down.

You have to take a chance on guys that are highly rated in 2 codes.
Yeah fair enough. We seem to take a lot of chances as we have a few in the top 30 that aren’t ready now, or never will be.
But when you’re the spoon factory I guess it’s the only carrot we have.
