After reading his comments, it’s a no brainer that you sit down with him and his manager. Id expect an announcement sometime before Xmas.Benji talking him (Pole) up today… said the club has plans to extend him and “upgrade “ him
As good as he’s going, he’s not the kind of player teams will be falling over themselves to sign a year in advance.I'd prefer it prior to 1st November.
Not yet I agree. As good as he’s going, he’s not the kind of player teams will be falling over themselves to sign a year in advance.

When you’re winning games you get to work on more of the one percentersI love how he goes looking for the ball and runs so hard. And he's gotten much smarter with his step and he runs confidently even when momentum is low.
However, unpopular opinion here, but I'd say he's our 3rd best prop at the moment and maybe not that because of his defense. He regularly bounces off players, often tackles in ways that allow quick play the balls, see him on the ground not able to get to marker, and also misses tackles and makes poor reads. Stef, klem, Twal, seyfarth are all decent tacklers.
I don't think it's from lack of effort or anything, he gives everything, but he has to get his technique sorted. When he goes high he isn't able to stick, and tackling low eliminates his physical strength and enables quick play the balls. At a proper club they'd probably be working on that non stop because he looks like a player that loves work and he is very eager in defense, despite his problems with it.
Not so sure about that.As good as he’s going, he’s not the kind of player teams will be falling over themselves to sign a year in advance.

It is a no-brainer!!While we have the cap space, I'd be locking someone like Pole down. Front load the contract if possible.
It's pretty much a no-brainer decision. He's commanding a spot, seems to love the club, the club appreciates what he brings & he fits the development club criteria.
Plus, with uncertainty regarding Utoikamanu- you lock up the new generation.
As long as a immediate swap for a proven enforcer comes about I’ll cop it.Fonua is a close mates with Stef and comes from Melbourne with family ties to Melbourne....
How do you swap a player whose contract is up?As long as an immediate swap for a proven enforcer comes about I’ll cop it.
Isn’t he contracted for 25, or am I mistaken? How do you swap a player whose contract is up?
