Player Dramas in the NRL

That’s not correct - there is a leniency policy for first time offenders, and it’s kept in house - 2nd time, it’s reportable….
Unfortunately, it’s policed by the clubs…
Most players know how to work around the ASADA system - They’ve got it down to an art.
I think the clubs only report it, when they ‘need’ to…

The cynic in me believes that it usually happens when certain clubs want to justify moving a player on.

Fair point. His starring performance in the GF might have gone to his head and he stopped trying his best.
Adam Reynolds told me after the grand final that when the focus turned to conservative footy to close out the game, Ezra and Walsh were trying to win it by 50. A few stupid errors later and it's all over. The trouble was, how can you blame a bloke that scores 3 tries in a GF for losing it? Mam and Walsh aren't the types to accept criticism so they're right offside with a lot of the other players.

CH9 news reported Mam is allegedly unlicensed and allegedly failed a roadside drug test. There was a mother and young daughter in the uber involved in the crash. The daughter has a serious injury I believe a fractured hip.

If that is the case then he deserves time in the slammer imho and suspended from the game indefinately.A terrible waste of talent

Interesting Reynolds being critical of anyone after the GF as I recall he completely lost all composure when the pressure was on and his leadership was questionable.

The 4-year old girl in the uber that had a head on crash with Ezra Mam has a fractured pelvis and burns on her stomach from the seat belt friction her mother has revealed to 9 news

So we have three 1st nations people done for drugs ,latrell , the fox and now Mann , and what has the nrl dealt out , bugger all more like a weak response, no wonder they and others will continue to offend . But driving while on drugs and no license, this is a serious offence, he should be suspended for a long time , to send a message to all the players

Imo this will have to go to the Qld judicial system. This type of accident is tragic. Remember Geoff Selby? Many drivers are caught by the Police following accidents and are punished.

On a slightly different note - has anyone watched the ABC series Plum, I binge watched it yesterday

I would be interested to hear other's thoughts on players suffering from CTE

Except for the race bit, as we all have trash what ever the colour, it’s call being human, although I think I know what you mean. That micro community in the NRL may have an issue bcoz that’s 3 in a row, but let’s not taint a community or team (Tigers), for 3 in a row, (spoons). 😎
But, yes it is a serious offence, a mate of mine, (not an NRL player), got 3 years for something similar. No one permanently injured, but unlicensed had drugs in his system from the weekend and on the way home from work Monday evening nodded off and bango! I will be interested to see what the NRL and the courts do about this particular event. For the NRL, how many players have to be caught taking drugs in one season before they start getting serious about it again. There is no consistency either they seem to punish according to the fashion at the time. Some years for a drug related offence you would get months and others you get a day to shake it off.

Why did you mention 1st nations people like it’s strictly an Aboriginal issue? very low of you.
