Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

chammas reading my posts ? or is he feeding me intel 😂

looks like we have budged in that 200k , 300k now the suggested mark, if manly dont take him i would be very suprised

yes we will be paying for him to play elsewhere, but he will be toxic in the dressing room

agree we are short on backrowers
who is availble ?
I posted a few days back that Woodsy said on radio that WT we’re willing to throw in half his salary to move him on.
A lot of posters doubted the statement as how would Woodsy know anything..

I'm not a great fan of Twal but Klemmer does a job. He rarely misses a tackle and can put then down one on one. His defence isn't in question. His attack has diminished the last year or two but he's been a marked man as our only big go forward man. Stef was a liability, Pole's defence needs a lot of work, Sione goes okay but he doesn't hurt anyone, Twal is just Twal. I've got high hopes for Johannssen and Sukkar and Johannssen has a younger brother who could turn out to be something special. Sam Fainu in the second row will be special and Seyfarth keeps getting better.
I think if we start with Klemmer and Hunt, they are hard enough to get off to a decent start and Pole and either Sukkar or Johannssen can come on and do some work. After that, if we get a few injuries, we may be in a bit of strife.
I think Sukkar can replace Bateman he can tackle and has some size about him

Sometimes I wonder......is our Administration really as dumb as they make out...

1) Richo comes out in the media and states Bateman better toe the line yada yada yada...he clearly gives an indication to other clubs Bateman is not wanted by the club....when we let Bateman go mid point last year it was widely reported the WT were hoping to not see him back.... Now its obvious the WT are trying to offload Bateman and other clubs, clued on are milking us to pay as much freight as they can squeeze out of us knowing how desperate we are wanting Bateman gone...

2) Had Richo played it smarter and been absolutely hush hush about his intentions on Bateman, clubs would have been very keen to take him off our hands at a lot less than what we are going to pitch in if they didn't know our desperation to get rid of him!..

Dumb move by RIcho?.....

3) Ontoni Large, he was contracted to the WT till 2025 or 26(?)...he is an up and coming super talent, possibly a generational player, every club would've salivated to get their hands on him...Beacuse he wants to only play in the halves and we are okay in that area, we release him from his contract for him to sign with Manly....

Dumb move by Richo?.....

Surely we could've gotten something in return for releasing Large from his contract...Manly are laughing at our Administration and thanking them at the same time....No other club would've done this bar the WT!....

I thought Richo was smarter than what he has shown here!..just my vent for the night!.. 🙂

I believe it’s inevitable that Galvin will move to the back row, either an edge or lock. Once he gets some muscle on his frame, and hence the extra weight, he won’t be quick enough at 5/8 and will have more impact receiving the ball either a little wider or using his passing game as a link player.
As his mobility slows down I think that opposition clubs will work him out at 5/8 without the genuine speed to make him less predictable.
I believe he will hang on to 5/8 as long as he can however, maybe a couple of seasons. He probably is already aware of this but will enjoy having his hands on the ball as much as possible until then.
However I can see him as a Yeo type lock where he could still play like a half and enjoy running the ball as well.
I see similarly and believe he will end up at lock but I also see a fair portion of his career playing as a ball playing edge after transitioning from the halves. I think the way his body will develop he will increased his lean body mass and not put on bulk so much at least for the best part of his 20s.
He has a different frame to oversized halves like Sironen, Anasta and even Burton.
In the short term if he can increase his speed off the mark he will hold down a halves spot longer.

John Sutton also, a man richo knows very well. Wade graham is another one, but Galvin I think is better than all of them, and his love of the game and studious nature will keep him in the halves long term more so than his physical traits.
Whatever position he plays we need to pay him enough to play it here.

Seems a bit ridiculous paying someone half of their Salary to play somewhere else. Surely him & Benji can sit in a room & sort out their differences?

Going the same way others with info.seem.to.go...they get addicted to the attention.. Cryptic quizzical questions ala. I know something you don't... If yiu look back at my posts blah blah

I’m going to have to agree some of the things Richardson has done are a little odd but I’m 100% behind him he’s brought clubs from this position to the top his hole life the man clearly knows what he’s doing. Everything he does he does for a reason I’m looking forward to seeing it all come together.

The rumour that Miller might leave potentially frees up one spot, hopefully an experienced middle.

Then you need to replace Bateman with a reliable edge forward.

They’re not out there atm but March is 5 months away.
Surely if we release Miller - spot will be used to sign Sione?
Not that I agree with it - is just how we roll
