Agree on Galvin. Don't mind if he's winning, but he shouldn't be winning by a landslide like last year.

I’m not opposed to us trying to sign Terrell May, but if you break things down, what does he actually do that is any better than Alex Twal ?
Amongst some highly physical and aggressive forwards Twal’s reliability and workrate becomes very valuable.
Of course the Roosters will throw their hat in the ring to try and sign Leo Thompson, but with nearly every NRLclub lining up for his services, they nor any other club will get him for under his market value like they generally expect.

The Doueihi to the Roosters thing isn't ridiculous.

They had a crack at him in the past.
He'll come cheap.
They've lost their 5/8th to SL and their halfback to an ACL for half the season.
They've lost their strike centre to Rugby.

Not saying they will seriously look at him, but I've heard sillier ideas....

....such as them swapping him for May.

An independent purchase though, meh, maybe.

Our issue at the tigers is I don’t think we started from a strong base , so I think we did build but not to a good enough standard . We need to lift standards . I’m not convinced that’s achieved by burning everyone out in week 1 .

I would imagine that the Dolphins will pick him up OR whatever new club is starting in WA.

A good highly experienced back who can help teach wing's/Fullback a few tricks of the game.

Dolphins are the last club that would need JAC, they already have Isaako, Bostock and Junior Tupou.
The only possible landing spots for JAC are Parramatta where it is highly likely he will be in 2025.
The Panthers might have a look at him if he comes cheap enough for them, otherwise Wests Tigers if we believe he is a better option than Charlie Staines.
I’ve always been a Charlie Staines fan, but was disappointed with his lack of impact last season. If we could sign JAC for no more than 350k for 2025 and was able to offload Staines to accomodate him, than why not.

You would hope our outside back recruitment strategy would involve targeting big, tall, fast, athletic athletes who can bust tackles, have the speed to make line breaks and score long range tries.
Yes it’s good we have retained Makasini, but we cannot think that’s enough, we need more athletes to combat the successful clubs.
Looking at what is currently available for 2026, Grant Anderson and Sam Stonestreet are stand outs, we should be trying to sign one or both of them and then trying to get them here for 2025 if possible.
With strategy like that JAC would not be required.

Two completely different styles of player.

Terrell is far more aggressive, makes much more impact, can break tackles and offload, while still tackling effectively. Twal is a workhorse but the second an opponent touches him he falls to the ground like a sack of spuds.

They are two completely different players.
