I'd be very, very reluctant to offer a deal that long considering he's been around for a while and has had just the one breakout season.I'd be going 4 years. $600k, $600, $650, $650. 2.5 mill has a nice ring to it.
Clause in there about Taylan. Nothing stupid but something like we will offer him a top 30 deal. No figure attached though.
Its a problem when its illegal...see GnRs post@Vicious the Roosters quite obviously think Smith and May are the main instigators in the off field party boy approach that they seemingly want to get away from.
It was never a problem when the likes of Fittler etc played for them, but for some reason it is now, shows what a low contradictory club they are.
As long as a players off field antics are not effecting their level of fitness or on field performance, than what is the problem ?
@yeahcaz
Props are the 2nd highest paid position in the comp on average. We have to pay the overs to get him. Don’t care how inspirational and impressive, no one’s jumping at the chance to sign for the 3 time wooden spooners for “market value”
And 3 years maxCurious on other posters opinion on how much we should be offering May?
I have no info on numbers being discussed but personally I’m not offering anything more than the 600-650k region.
Rumours Roosters had him on 475K. Half a million bucks for a guy who is reluctant to commit to the sport. Think about that. Going much higher could prove to be a big mistake, hopefully it’s a 2 year deal.Curious on other posters opinion on how much we should be offering May?
