Mark Flanagan was a better Pom playing for us than Bateman, Flanagan is a forgotten gem. He was great in the couple of years he was here.

If I read this right , the club wanted Bateman to fly back for 1 day of training then fly back to England for there two week break over Xmas , NOW ask ur selfs would u do that , I know Bateman has bern a arse hole but the club is not helping the situation with that demand

Maybe if John spent less time carrying on like a dickhead he wouldn’t get treated like one.

If I had an employee who worked his backside off and always did what he was asked I might be more inclined to accept a request for extra leave. If that same employee spent all his time being difficult I’d probably give him the same sort of response.

I think with a more competent team that plays their role Bateman won't feel so pressured to overplay and could play the best he has for Tigers. I wanted him gone a month ago but won't be at all dissapointed if it works out now.

Well within their rights. He doesn't have to fly to the UK for Xmas. That's on him. He should be committed to turning up to work. Not faking media engagements to get out of Training and letting down his teammates
