I think injury is the only thing stopping him debuting next year.Anyone who watches Makasini closely...is he a more than 50% chance of making his debut? Do we think he can hold his own in 1sts?

No they aren’t, especially PaugaBetter players than Nadan.
Comp stars in March, only misses a few weeks.if Taylan were able to return to the NRL, it wouldn’t be until April earliest. his court date is in March.
Pretty serious charge and looks to have evidence stacked against him. What are the chances temhe NRL will let him back into the game if found guilty?Comp stars in March, only misses a few weeks.
Thanks mate . I was just guessing .
Exactly why I said 'I'm loathe to make comparisons'.That’s enormous pressure to put on the kid, comparing him to long-time internationals in multiple codes.
I heard people had big wraps on Tommy Talau and many others who became just solid NRL players.
Hopefully the kid has a successful career but I’m happy to see him play first grade before anointing him the next big thing.
I agree with you Gunner . The only way he sees first grade is if we are struggling . Hopefully Skelton , lualiii , Toa , and Staines are doing the job , so Makasini can focus on dominating the lower levels .So a counter opinion is classed as a rant?
It was more than five, Axl. Keep up.It’s weird that you haven’t been reading what’s been written. Even by yourself. When I say “he’s 17. Just give the kid time. No need to rush him”. And that’s met with “well why not”, and how 5 other players are used as examples of players who have debuted at an early age, and just completely refuse to accept 25 could be too soon for him, that’s what I mean by instant gratification.
Time will tell. The difference compared to these others is that he is still in Year 12 next year. He is also on scholarship so expect the school will want him for most of the Rugby season.Kit and Luke Laulili'i, Feledy, Da Silva, Galvin, Latu, Miller and Mason have all debuted in the last 18 months at 18 or just 19.
If he debuts in late 2025, he'll be fine and will be better for the taste.
There is nothing 'nuts' about it.
obviously will need to have his contract registed and cleared by the NRL plus time to regain match fitness and sharpness.Comp stars in March, only misses a few weeks.
It’s very possible that Makasini is the only player that makes his NRL debut next season. That’s a big turnaround from 10 debutants this past season.
Dolphins never rebuilt. The whole team was a debutIf we have a lot of players making their debut next year it would mean our rebuild has failed miserably. We need a year of stability in 2025
The Roosters had a crack side and despite that Sualii still hasn’t set the world on fire.Is this kid as good as Suali. All the talk im heaing is that he is. if Roosters with all there talent play an 18yr old why wouldnt we with our limited depth. Mate been watching this game for over 60yrs. Bullshit theory and one you couldnt possibly make unless your on the staff. Good enough , old enough. What are your going to put an age bracket what is it? 18 and 9 months , 19. .Didnt do Fittler, Brasher and many others to badly.. Leave that to the people in the know and the people that work with him on a daily basis., not us professionals behind keyboards,
That’s a bit like the old no offense but…Exactly why I said 'I'm loathe to make comparisons'.
When you say it like that, very good point can only climb the ladder aye I honestly see us beating alot of teams, there's a weakness in the backrow but we will figure something out 👍In Richo we trust the clauses as discussed happen at every clubIt’s very possible that Makasini is the only player that makes his NRL debut next season. That’s a big turnaround from 10 debutants this past season.
Mate Gould did talk about it , but he also referenced the fact that your genetic freaks debuting early is par for the course .The Roosters had a crack side and despite that Sualii still hasn’t set the world on fire.
Fittler and Brasher played in a totally different era. The game is barely recognisable compared with those days.
Most players entering the game now are going to play until they’re in their mid thirties.
Old enough, good enough is dinosaur bullshit. Wrecking players before they hit their mid twenties is incompetent man management.
Even Gould was talking about it recently.
Junior is responsible for one of the most breathtakingly bad plays I’ve ever seen on the football field, only surpassed by Heighno. No they aren’t, especially Pauga
