Mate... Blackouts are a real thing and stillnox is notorious for it.

Even on enough booze alone peoeple can black out and do stuff they've no recollection of later... Many doing long stretches inside would be in this group I've heard some horrific stories

I remember the NZ scandal when Foran, SBW and a few others were having stillnox with redbull whilst away on tour.

Has an ecstasy like effect.

If Galvin extends his contract we can’t have Latu playing week to week as a half in reserve grade. As all we’ll be doing is developing him for another club to sign as a half in NRL.

You are indeed correct. I know that each of id different and we each react to things differently. Put simply I have ppl to take a thousand pills and no issue and others, just one and they are pushed over the edge and even in some cases death. We are all different. That’s how God made us. We are not clones of each other. So that being a fact. People have right to be sceptical. They just don’t understand and some times don’t even want to.

TDS can only play hooker agreed but API can play in the halves or lock if required, TDS has to be our 14 and will play 9 in round one when api is suspended.

Mate you don't wanna be disrupting the halves unnecessarily just to accommodate another positional switch... Best possible outcome is the 6&7 are both fit & firing the entire season... There'll be disruption with Luai and origin but can't be helped

Not a fan of Lodge, but you can't lock everyone up and throw away the key every time they do something distasteful or that causes others distress.

It's easy when you get older to have a zero tolerance attitude with hard line punishments, but I'm sure if you were caught doing the drugs you've mentioned and the system essentially wiped out any chance you had of living a normal and productive life, you would think it is overkill.

If you're expecting perfection from.human beings, you're in for a shock.

These guys play out their dumb years in the spotlight without the maturity of age on their side. No one condones his behaviour, but the family received huge compensation, he is still paying for it now and he has been a clean skin since. I think that's a much better outcome than lock up on the tax payer dime with no chance of a productive life.

Some people need to be out of the general population, but Lodge isn't one of them. Bad mistake and he's paid for it dearly.

Yep, ive been there too a few times a long time ago....its scary.
One brief one was walking home from the pub about midnite and mustve walked for an hour before coming to and realise I was going the wrong way...that was a mild one

haven't seen all that much of him. He might have
given the bro Api a call to see if there's any work here

He's a runner and a passer. Freddy, Lozza, two of the great 5/8's started in the centres, Wally started at lock, Lockyer at 1, same as Munster and Jarome Hughes. As long as he gets a run at NRL level I'm happy because he's a gun.
I think he's a better 5/8 than Galvin but who am I to judge.

You’re entitled to your own opinion. Lumping in with Douhei is probably a bit harsh. Douhei reminds me of an overzealous Kurt Gidley. Like how did he manage to make NSW? Also, when he was injured he was talking himself up about looking for to playing origin. I was like Chico, you’re not even going to be in the team.

Fainu has huge wraps on him. I think he will be good. Douhei has had enough chances. Poor defender and a ball hog.

Don’t get me wrong I hope Latu lives up to all the hype 🤞
I just haven’t seen anything special from him up to now.

My biggest gripe was having Tumeth & Sukkar on
the books taking up the same spot at the same time.

Yet looking at our club team page, there are only 3 people listed as 2 Row Forwards:
Bateman
Tumeth
Sukkar

Now I fully expect Samuela Fainu to play 2RF, but we need another one. Otherwise it's our biggest gap next to a dedicated Lock (but we have 3 players listed as playing Lock).

Look I don't know what our club team page actually means as far as positions. I see jack Bird at Center and I think our best Center pairing is Bird + Olam. I also see Turuva at FB and hey would like to see how that looks. .. TLDR our club team page is probably off.

We really need another impact 2rf.

In what way does he give you Doueihi vibes?
I haven't seen anything from Latu in Tigers colours but was very impressed with his few games for Blacktown.

The only Vibes I’m getting is all the talk about his skill set and that he could be a great 14.
I remember others stating Doueihi having the same skills to cover multiple positions.
At this point IMO neither are the best player for any of our starting 13 and I don’t believe either of them should be on the bench.
Play them in ressies and they will get a chance if and when required.

Saw him training with Jaxon Rahme past few weeks. Thought he may get a gig at the Magpies.... but looks like he landed at NQ, for the time being at least.

Yep it's too early to tell who will be a better long-term 5/8 out of Galvin & Latu.

Galvin had a massive 1st year when he got the opportunity early by his effort & fitness in pre-season training. Latu had an injury interrupted year & never got his body fully right so has missed the jump.

IMO Latu has silkier ball skills, has better acceleration & explosiveness and better defence.

Whereas Galvin has a knack of reading defences, slightly better long kicking game, much better voice in controlling attack, and amazing fitness to roam and sweep almost like a 2nd fullback, plus brings confidence and enthusiasm which rubs off on those around him.

In my perfect world, I'd love Latu to be our long-term 5/8 with Luai at half and Galvin at lock who could re-invent the position.
