We've got to put it into context. He and the others like him are the minority. Ignore the noise and march towards greatness.

A noisy minority though aren’t they? And the media seems to want to give them attention …they retell the same long list of woes again and again every time something new leaks ..

I’m in no way confident much changes in respect of the HBG ownership to be honest … The Wests Tigers name won’t change thanks to agreements with the NRL ..but I can’t see how the NRL can force HBG to do anything…

Good point. I'm an old Magpies fan but look at my forum handle. It's not true that all old Magpies want the club to ditch the Tigers name to become the Magpies.

Rick Wayde & the other directors "sidelined" by Romero, Burgess & Co are also old Magpies, in Rick's case he bled black & white blood and put in so much blood sweat & tears into saving the Magpies from the same fate as Newtown & Norths back in the 80s.
He led so many fundraising operations, organised a great concert at Lidcombe with some of Australia's best bands at the time. He was also probably the very best ground announcer of that era.

However Rick's mission in life is to see the Wests TIGERS become the NRL powerhouse it could & should be. The same goes with the other "deposed" directors.

I love the Masters Apprentices & actually met and spent some time chatting with Dennis Burgess at an ARIA awards night at The Ivy some years back. I liked the guy.....BUT both he and Julie Romero MUST GO!

Is there a petition up to get rid of (at least) these two? If not can someone a bit more tech savvy set one up? It worked with the one that saw Lee & Pascoe shown the door. Us fans and especially the members need to put so much pressure on Romero, Burgess & Co to either pull their heads in or resign....the latter being preferable!

I remember the crap a lot of the guys here used to give Marina Go, in my opinion undeservedly. She was a year above me at (Good Old Rooty Hill) High School and was a top debater & school captain. She is also a very successful journalist & business woman in her own right. I believe that she would be an excellent replacement for Romero as she is Wests Tigers through & through and was actually a Balmain supporter prior to 2000.

Something needs to be done, preferably BEFORE season 2025 kicks off!

I said it before, but the NRL holds the cards when it comes to the licence. This nonsense may backfire badly to the fans detriment while these idiots keep holding the club to ransom.

We have a licence for the medium term, but as far as I know it is not a perpetual licence.

The biggest problem I see is Romero and Burgess were voted in by the debenture holders, so can see more of the same even if they were to be moved on.

The boys @cochise @Joel Helmes etc. Have got it right. Get in early and make some noise until things change.

Probably should move the team out of Sydney as well. As there are too many teams in Western Sydney already. Maybe Perth.

South Western Sydney is HUGE and it is still growing. It deserves a team to support, their OWN team, not Parra/Penrith/Cant-Banks.

Penrith have a HUGE catchment area as it is and it would be unwise of the NRL to give them another huge slice of area by moving the Wests Tigers out of Sydney. The people of South West Sydney as well as those in the Inner West are a different breed to those of the Parra catchment area with a different culture/lifestyle. Same goes for the Dogs.The border at Liverpool is the only area where the people/culture of both CB & WT overlap and share some of that lifestyle & culture.

If any club needs to go it needs to be one closer to the coast. The catchment of the Roosters/Souths/Cronulla COMBINED would fit WITHIN the Wests Tigers MASSIVE junior catchment areas.
One of them should go or be forced to merge in any talk of getting rid of a Sydney Team. If not for their $$, power, influence on the NRL & their billionaire Chairman & other famous/wealthy backers.....they should have been forced to leave Sydney or merge with Souths. Alternatively the Sharks could (and should) move up North to Gosford & play out of that wonderful ground as the Coast Sharks.

Both Balmain & Western Suburbs (and St.George & Illawarra) sacrificed enough, including their identities to merge and they (along with the Dragons) should be GUARANTEED survival as franchise and as Sydney based clubs as long as they are financially viable.

We could change our colours to something much more appealing and make a fresh new start with a much more appealing name such as the Western Sydney Bushrangers.
I'd definitely even go along with KOE being the Bushrangers or whatever.

Marina Go would be an unbelievably good choice as a director and in my opinion would be a better chair than BO’F.
